If you want to educate people, you should start with the generations long terrorist attacks by the Native Americans. Wherever European descended farmers went, they were attacked by hunter-gatherers who considered vast swathes of territory as their hunting grounds. In a perfect world, the farmers would have had their own fenced enclosures and the Cherokee would have maintained their traditions until a balance was reached, much as we have today. But of course, war was the result. The Trail of Tears” was the punishment for long years of war. Once you understand how many unarmed farmer’s families died in the Indian raids, you’d suddenly see the truth. Two primitive cultures, hunters vs farmers. There WAS a tantalizing possibility of friendship there, but it died with the first settlers who were scalped. So years of hatred resulted in the Cherokee being driven from their lands without mercy. If you look at history, this pattern is repeated over and over. The original inhabitants of Japan were the Ainu until Chinese settlers moved in.
