Seems that the game has a similar story as tf2 atleast from what I've heard of the leaked final comic where it's revealed that the administrator and both red and blu team were actually working with a interdimensional being. In deadlock everyone knows about the interdimensional being and they all have motivations for working with it.

@ExValeFor team fortress was probably a big reason why hero shooters became a genre. I mean deadlock has a 50s style and it's made by valve is it really hard to believe they took influence from tf2.

I don't think all heroes are dead, all are seeking some kind of wish from the Patrons, they know and make comments about their desires Edit: Also there is a voiceline after victory that goes "Finally I can walk amongst you and give you your reward"
considering that the story is probably about (potential spoilers below) doomed souls fighting for a chance at resurrection (IF IT HASN'T CHANGED, THAT IS) makes sense

Топ 2 музыка доты 2. Лучше только оригинальная тема абсолютно самобытная, а не копирует героев 3, Зельду и Аладина. Эта конечно копирует но делает это так хорошо, шо я аш заплакал. Ставлю класс.
