My great granddad was there when Dachau was liberated . My family is Jewish , he never denied what happened to the camp guards. He never bragged about it but spoke like u speak about putting down a rabid dog

@@MrBooYa-yd5er No one in power had the will to initiate hostilities against the Soviets right after WW2. There would have been millions more casualties. So, we had the Cold War. In the end, we beat Soviet communism without a WW3.
@@MichelDieleman What happen was he did believed they were gassed. But he actually didn't say they were all. But their death in majority of the camps so you would believe their were gassing happening in all them. What made him not believe it even though their were showers was because the chemical used was actually normally used to spray to disinfect people. It's just the chemical can turn dangerous if it's released in area that that is closed off to fresh air. It do not dissolve after it's spraying and stays they way in a sealed in environment killing anyone inhaling it. What confused him was is lack of knowledge on chemical properties. He saw it happened before with Mexican immigrants but no one died. He did not realized that the same process under different circumstance gave a different reaction. Most of the showers in Auschwitz were with doors that would be completely sealed. In rest of the camps would have showers with wooden door that keep the chemical air soluble. Thus, he could not find the connection between chemicals and the death.
No one would believe this sort of thing went on it's unbelievable. Even when you think you know most of what went in the camps I continue to learn more though the testimony of the survivors videos. Recently I learned about a German SS man named Otto Moll. He worked at Auschwitz was in charge of the crematorium toss babies into boiling fat ran around these burn pits. No one would believe such things happened. Moll was hanged for shooting people on a death march didn't know about these other things he did until after the Dachau trials were over. At least victims got some justice.
@@jolenehendrickson8915 Nope, unless he was forced to say it but he stated mostly in favor of German. We even have quotes that he actually regret fighting the German because they cared for the white race the most. You can disagree with him but that what his belief.

He didn't think much of the people in the DP camps he saw them as lazy not trying to better themselves. I don't think he really understood anything about them. Many were teenagers ripped from their homes and spent up to 4-6 years in the concentration camp system. All they knew how to do was survive under that system. Maybe he had made some antisemitic remarks but that was common in those days. Polite Americans in the 1940's used the word Negros, and coloreds for African Americans. Have to think times were different back.
The Germans didn´t change that much since then as you would think. There is basically something wrong with those people. No matter what the circumstances were in Germany in the 1930´s, you must be monumentally seriously fucked up in your head as a people to be able to organise something like the ´´Final Solution´´ and all those concentration and death camps in the first place. Defeat and subsequent occupation by the Allies cannot change a people´s mind nor mentality, it only got painted over with capitalism. It´s still possible. Some prophecies even predict a new Third Reich with all due horrors somewhere in the next 100 years to come...
