Hey that 82 GT is awesome. What intake are you running?, Curious how the factory air cleaner clears that Maximum Motorsports tower brace. It looks great.
Hey man I know it’s 2 years lat but I’ve got the same motor expect mine was the bp3474ctc and was wanting to do cam swap as well but was just curious what intake you had on yours and also did you change springs for that cam?
I had almost exactly the same car in high school. My first car. 1981 Capri RS in midnight blue w same powder blue pinstripes, six cylinder and automatic. Only differences I can remember is mine had a moonroof, and I thought it had a stock radio w a cassette player and power windows, but I could be wrong. I can’t remember if it had a rear window wiper. Paid $4800 for it. Sadly totaled it one month to the day and a junkyard bought it for $450. I saw it a year later after it must’ve been repaired and sold as salvaged title. Only saw one other Capri RS in that color my entire life in Los Angeles. Somewhere I have a photo of mine, sadly after I’d wrecked it.
I bought an 82 5.0 RS with recaro seats and a 4 speed from the dealer for under 10 grand in May 1982. ordered the car custom from the factory, took 4 weeks to get it. the 1982 5.0 were 2 barrel carbs. Loved that car.
0:57 don’t tell not to mind that the wheels are dirty. I do mind that the wheels are dirty. Clean them before you make a video that almost last 5ever brah 🤨
man, I sure wish I had those lifter tools back in the late 70's, I could have swaped Cams dozens of times without pulling the lifters, wow that's COOL.
He didn’t hold it cause of the interest he didn’t hold it for the father & son he didn’t hold it at all he just didn’t have another buyer Jesus get real brah 😐
I had an 80 Cobra (white with blue lettering) that came with a 4 cyl and Recaro seats. I put a 13:1 355 Windsor w/ 4v Cleveland heads in it, plus nitrous. My favorite car ever! Looking for another one to build but they are getting rare and expensive.
Have you ever watched "I'm Joel" on RU-vid? The guy has a modded turbo E30 that reminds me so much of your Mustang. I'd love to see your car run against his car.
My first car in High School was a Pace Car. Bought it in October '81 and kept it for nearly 30 years. Back then, everyone was into Camaros and Trans Ams. It was just before the Fox Body craze took off with the '82 GT. Seeing all these Pace Cars being revived on RU-vid warms my heart. These cars are finally getting the love they deserve, especially with these Coyote swaps. Great work in keeping these gems from '79 going.
While I was in jr. high I talked my mom into buying a 1980 cobra. It was medium gray metallic and basically a pace car look alike. I think it too was a 1 of 1. Why? Well if you look at the books and the specs, the turbo 4 was only available with a 4 speed manual. However back in 1980 Ford was working on getting EPA certification for the automatic. So yes it was hard to track down but mom found a turbo automatic hard to get and not listed in the books. I have never seen another. Car ran good on a cool humid day. Did not have the quarter window "cobra" decals because of supply issues with that particular decal we were told in the day. Your cobra is really nice, enjoy!
@@cobrabuilt awesome t.y. for replying cause I had people telling me they break after several heat cycles especially Vegas Climate. Your car is very very easy on the eyes , great conclusion & colors too . ✌️
