I'm watching this great video while prepping chicken to can! Great content... We bought the chicken at a discount and it's saving us so much money. We actually inherited chickens YESTERDAY from friends who are moving tomorrow. I'm going to raise maggots off of the chicken waste (after we do the chicken broth tomorrow). My mom's the expert came- I'm so thankful for her help!!
Hahahah...."If it's not automated, it's probably not going to happen." You're so right. Good intentions don't water plants. :P That gave me a good chuckle.
Yes, it was amazing to see the care that I perceived from the others. Who knows what they were actually thinking but it was fun to see them all run to see what had happened.
Okay, how many ROCKS did you guys find!! I've heard rocks are what we grow best in SWMO, lol! Has Jonathan seen the tractor yet???? Oh boy, will he love it! And now I know what you're doing with wood chips! ❤ 🎉 We found seeds for .20/pkt at Sutherland's... And finding branches, mulch, compost for cheap or free is priceless! Jonathan has used free pallets for our raised beds! We have seriously been blessed. As you know, we don't have chickens... Yet! I think we've finally figured out a way to do feed more cheaply! Mealworms! We're also looking at meat rabbits in the next two years... I think Jonathan is AMAZING at pacing everything. And we really do sacrifice a great deal to pay for the stuff we do need. ❤😊
You may be right. I got this one so I didn't have to open and close a door each time I got in or out. One thing I wish it had was a spot for my kids to ride. We shall see if I create something like that in the future.
I've actually been shocked that they have lasted 4-6 months. I haven't actually noticed them totally dead but whenever the door doesn't open properly I guess it is the batteries and change them.
Ha! Yes, it is the concrete porch to the school house and I wanted to capture their small footprints for ever. It’s a way better finish than the super smooth finish of all the other concrete.
Dunno if anyone points it out. But that snake is a black rat, we had one eating our birds when I'd feed em seeds, they were such a fat snake. So, they're persistent- make sure to secure chicken lay boxes and stuff, or he will keep coming back. Ours was so stubborn until i stopped feeding the wild birds- then he just moseyed away.
You are ALWAYS supposed to have the (electric conductor) silicone covers on... It still "shocks" with them on. I am a big fan of the quality and the price of this specific Bousnic collar. I've used it with many clients. It's a great e-collar and I highly recommend it.
@@dustinyamchuk7400it has turned out to be a good collar. She actually figured out how to get it off and I had to buy another one. But it is great for training purposes for sure. The range is good, appears to be pretty waterproof, and the battery life is fantastic!
Please teach your children empathy for animals! Yanking the top open, screaming and whining, waving their arms, while the poor chickens scared for their life are flapping around and running on top of each other to get away but they cant! You and you children caused the animals great stress, while you could have had a teaching moment of respecting animals and just going about it in a calm manner. Picking them up and throwing them back like they are just a ball? Hard to watch this video.
Thanks for tuning into the video. I appreciate your comment and agree that kids should respect animals. We have given lessons on how to properly handle chickens and all the farm animals. One other benefit that I haven't shared about the deep litter method is it provides a great cushion for the chickens so if they do fall then they are protected as well. Thanks again for tuning in and keep looking for freedom in your life!
I think the first little while of milking a cow the milk tastes a bit different then normal. After this milking it was good, creamy, by had a slight taint to it. Hopefully the flavor will improve as we give good supplements in her diet.
Awww!! Your Baby there is adorable!! She is so fortunate to have been born into a Farm Environment! Got some Box Turtles eh? I've always liked them!! You have Chickens, Cattle...amqzing!!this
Hi... thanks for sharing this video, as I'm considering the same collar for my dog. I just have one HUGE concern that I hope you noted before using shock!! In the video, I could see the metal prongs, which will BURN your dog's skin... IF you use the collar WITHOUT the silicone prong covers 😳😲😬😬😬😬🤯🤯🤯🤯 Sure hope you put those on??
You should not need to shave any fur. You should use the longer prongs that come with it, always with the silicone covers on, and tighten the collar. It needs to fit very snug so both prongs are touching her neck. If you've had issues with it not working it's simply not tight enough or the level is too low to where she doesn't react to it
@@james_thedogtrainer what is the right level ? Was just using when my 10 month old golden retreiver was biting on my teenager and I put it up higher and higher didn't phase him
Bradley, I just love your videos! It's so fun to see your family and what a fun time you guys have! I would love to come up and see you! You have such a special family
Thanks so much! I appreciate those kind words. Part of our goal is to create wholesome content that the entire family can enjoy. And God does bless our family greatly, I know He blesses you as well. God is good!
Buckets are like portable bowls. They are easier to get the feed out to the cows. I also have noticed if each cow has a separate bucket then they don't fight as much as if I put all the food in a big trough. Plus the buckets were free, a trough costs money.
