It was rough out there this week for me in Sparkville. There was an influx of no tip orders. I heard that Walmart has raised their fees? So maybe that’s why? I just can’t take orders with no tip though. It’s hard on the esteem side of things. I consider the customer my boss if they are tipping and will provide 5 star service.
My two Walmarts in my zone are 10 miles apart too. 9.8 miles to be exact. We get orders for both but our local drivers stay with our close by store. The other store so bad we get half of their customer orders to take out there to them. They stay behind schedule with picking and loading.
I am trying to start gauging my orders so that I get at least a good $20 plus order for each round robin for the hour. Trying to make sure that when I accept an order that it puts me back for the round robin, at least one per hour they will normally sprinkle shop and delivers into that mix in the afternoons or very early morning (which I do not go out early).Then with the shop and deliver I try to only take short runs that will put me back at the Walmart in time for the next round robin. I am still dumb founded by the acceptance rate cause I do reject some :just for you: etc. But I am still at 100% But, I am able to take a lot of orders cause of my market area. We are a rural area with a lot of farm land. So its 55mph back roads a lot and small in town trips that don't take long. So I try to get into the rhythm of one round robin and one shop and deliver and the algorithm after a short time seems run with it sending me just the very things I want to take.Dare I say it learns what I will take when I will take it and seems to send it my way. But I run 4 to 5 hour shifts twice a day
Only Platinum Dashers with 100 minimum last 30 day deliveries can Dash Anytime. Everyone else schedules and if the market is saturated no luck. I burned up a motor and dropped to Gold Dasher and can barely schedule get a schedule done.
@@tiptrips One was already worn out. But, I added an extra 30,000 miles till I locked up the torch converter. The second had a lot of miles but i added 60,000 in less than 10 months as Platinum dasher and dropped a cylinder and cracked the block. All that dropped me to Gold and luckily got on with Spark with newer van I run currently. In my area I can run spark and shift gears a lot less. One pick up three stops is less than parking and reverse with 8 or 9 deliveries with Door Dash per hour. Not to mention gas and less miles for more money.
@@amypoole30 😳! Wow that's a lot of miles. My gig life started with doordash in 2019 & was making good money. Now I haven't done a doordash in months.. I'm happy to hear you got a good vehicle
@@tiptrips started my gig life in 2021 but I also have not done a dash in weeks. They ripped me off on my last shop and deliver. I took an order for $22. Then I accepted an add on from a separate customer shopping same place and dropping to them at their jobs. The add on was $5.50. when I got to the payout screen after the delivery it added the $5.50 I to the $22. It should have been $27.50. I haven't took another order since. I have spark on and try to schedule Dash but Spark orders are better and I end up pausing the Door Dash app till it closes me out of it for not coming off pause in time. But I made $1k this week on spark alone. I am Blessed and not complaining about not multiapping. God is taking care of me and my kiddos.
I got a grocery wagon, mine is a Uline. I got it for $50 on facebook market but it was brand new and would have cost me over $100 on line. It has saved my back and cut down the time spent delivering big orders.
What happens when Wal-Mart SPLITS the order? The TIP is on the orginal "parent order". The SPLIT off orders might include 2 or 3 other drivers coming from other locations. Is the TIP only given to the driver of the "parent order", or is it divided up to include the other drivers?

I have to restart the app in order to see them. I have contacted support every single day I work for the past 6 mos but nothing changes. Anyone else have this problem?
I’m not 100% positive what you mean by refresh? But no, I do not have the same problem. I haven’t heard of anybody else with that problem, but I’ll definitely ask around.

What I mean by refresh, I am referring to how the Home Screen will automatically get rid of expired offers and the ones taken by other drivers and then will display the new offers that come in. I have to continually restart the app in order to see the new offers and by the time I do that, I have lost sometimes 45 seconds on a timed offer. I hope that makes sense 😆
@@tiptrips I have an iPhone 13 and I have tried that and nothing happens. I have tried swiping down with two fingers to refresh the screen. Is that what you mean? Sometimes I will see a black and white refresh display appear at the bottom of the home page but it doesn’t do that all of the time. When it does display that little refresh icon, the app works fine. Otherwise, I have to restart it
