First learned about pastelmat following Jason on his Patreon channel. Pastelmat is a superb surface for pastels and Jason Morgan is an exceptional instructor.
This ink has very little shimmer. It has some nice shading and a bit of a sheen from the gold, but very little shimmer. Also you wont get the shading quite like this unless you are using a hugely broad nib or a very good pen.
Nice looking :) Which pen would you recommend the most to use with this ink ? I see a Sailor Fude DE Mannen in your video. I also have one but didn't try shimmering inks with it. Maybe an opportunity to try :)
I haven't done calligraphy in ages, just getting back into it and found your channel! I've never seen a dip pen like the brass (?) one you used first. What type of pen is that? I love the huge range of thicknesses you get!! Thanks for the video!
I've read some reports that this ink is waterproof, and others indicate that it is water-resistant. Can you comment on the water-resistance of your inks? Also, is this a pigment-based ink (with gold flecks in it) or a dye-based ink?
