Very good videos! I've done about 8 of them so far. I was used to Inventor but no longer have access. So far this software seems more user friendly. Thanks again!
Thank you for a new upload. I made a comment in an earlier video about organizing your videos into smaller playlists to make the navigating easier. They were: 1) Introduction 2) Absolute Beginner 3) Labs 4) Exercises 5) Practice for beginners Or another way that you think will be easier lists.
Thank you Dr. Seif. Sorry if I sounded gruff or distressed, I never intended to, I was a bit frustrated which turned out to be a fault of my own making. Thank you again and have a good rest of your day.
hocam rib çizgilere bir eğri olarak bulunduğundan kapalı alan ancak kalınlık haline getirilebilir İşte bu alanın yansıma yönlerini biz kendimiz belirleyerek rib çizgisini kapalı alan haline getirmez isek rib çizgisi ni oluştururken hatalar ekrana geliyor ve bunu bizzat ben çizimlmerimdede yaşadım ama dediğim gibi kullanıcılar sizin gibi etli kısımlara 2-3mm girmek yerine sketch ekranında komutların olduğu kısımdaki projeck geometry komutunu kullanarak bir yansıma çizgisi yani convert çizgisi oluşturduklarında sıkıntı ortadan kalkacak ve rahatlıkla rib çizgisini rib çubuğu kalınlık verilebilen bir durum oluşturması gayet kolay hale gelmektedir kolay gelsin sizleri seviyorum
hocam çizim güzel anlatımınız güzel benim bir sorum olacak size .rib çizgisini çizerken project geometry komutu ile her iki dairenin merkezini işaretlemiş olsaydınız rib çizgisini 2-3 mm daire merkezine doğru çizmenize gerek kalmayacak bunu yapın
çünkü rib çizgisinin convert edilmesi gerekir hangi yünde kapalı durum olmasını istiyorsak o yönde convert edilmesi gerekir kapalı bir alan gibi davranmasını sağlarız aksi halde eğri katı oluşumlarında eğrilerin merkez noktalarına rib çizgileri daima dik bir sanal görüntü verilmek zorunlulluğu vardır yoksa rib çizgisini katı hale getiremezsiniz
Dr. Seif, Thank, you for responding to my issue below; however, I simply have not been able to get this to work. Something is missing, some step is being left out and I cannot understand what that step is. I have tried repeatedly, starting over numerous times without success. I'm working on Lab #8 where I'm trying to place a circle to make the R8 hole to create the slot. I followed directions, highlighting the edge as you showed to lock the face then moved to the top view. When I use the distance between function it gives me the dimension in blue. Clicking on this dimension turns it yellow or orange. Click on it again and it turns green. There is no way to modify the dimensions to move the circle. What am I missing?
Hello. I'm struggling with trying to lock F3 onto a face. Please explain. No matter what I try, it comes out blue which cannot be modified. Please explain how you are locking on.
Thank you for reaching out. To lock to a certain surface, first you choose one of the drawing tools without assigning any dimensions. Please feel free to zoom with me, and I will be able to work with you. My email is: mohamed.seif@aamu.edu
Thank you again. Great and easy to follow. For anyone who do this in ordered mode. After making the cosmetic thread, go to 3D Print and select Physical Thread following the prompts.
there is a way to do a circular pattern via sketch, it requires you to use the move function tab to rotate in the 2024 edition, once you have that understanding you realize that you can do a circular pattern in sketch mode
it took me a few days to figure out that there's two mirror commands in solid edge 2024 community edition , just a headsup for those that gets stuck like me . the second one is by the pattern section and only highlights when the object is selected via protrusion .
Hi Dr. M., your videos helped me a lot at work. Thanks to your tutorials I'm able to use this software. I was really confused and lost when I first used Solid Edge, but you saved me. I watched several videos, but none of them were really useful. You really helped me out. God bless you, you're amazing at what you`re doing!
@kalvin1123 Congratulations on finishing these videos. Now start with the labs' first 5 labs and then your choice either the exercises,or practice for beginner, or continue with the labs.
@@drmseif Would you please split up the Solid Edge videos into smaller playlists: 1) Introduction 2) Absolute Beginner 3) Labs 4) Exercises 5) Practice for beginners It will definitely help Thank you
Does this fatigue analysis account for the range of frequencies the part is subjected to? For instance, would a 100 Hz have a different fatigue life than 1000 Hz? Or is the # of life cycles independent of frequency.
Thank you for creating such an informative tutorial on the basics of using Solid Edge. Your clear explanations and detailed demonstrations were incredibly helpful. Best regards! 2nd year mechatronics student.
@Yogicos87 Thank you so much for the feedback. I wish you all the best. I used to teach Mechatronics and Robotics back in the eighties as part of the Synthesis Coalition (1982-1990).
"Zero thickness (non-manifold) body: The resulting intersection is not supported". I get this error when trying to extrude the section around the center square. Any thoughts?
I know this is an old video, however im learning solid edge in 2024. When i try to extrude the second offset of 10mm, it erases the entirety of the outside.
