I really love kana and akane's relationship. You can tell they sorta appreciate each other in their own way, but their appreciation being more out of admiration rather than anything else. It's beautiful

Umm Akane's mission now Is to stop Aqua from doing very dangerous deeds and keeping an eye on him And actually said to Kana that she may be the one who is destined to eliminate the darkness that consumed Aqua (Aka be with Aqua..also what I said Is just a metaphor...she just basically said to Kana that she may be the one for Aqua So the Ship of Aqua and Kana Is already planned, they just need the materials to start the construction aka waiting for Aqua)
Nah everything can happen. Just because they broke up doesn't mean they couldn't be back together. I've seen enough romance to tell that nothing is final until the series ends. Akane is currently trying her best to stop Aqua's revenge, which is by helping Kana to be Aqua's girlfriend. Akane truly loves Aqua she's very loyal, she'll do everything to help Aqua. Who knows curveball and the unexpected might happen in result. After all, Akane still likes Aqua romantically which was explicitly shown in the recent beach chapter where Akane was jealous when Kana was trying to get Aqua smother sunscreen on Kana's back.
