My name is Forrest Proctor. Im a Cinematographer and Photographer based in South Mississippi. Ive been shooting documentaries, commercials, weddings, and professional photos for 7+ years. Some of the notable brands i shot for include The Home Depot, The Weather Channel, WHAL Grooming, U.S. Army, U.S. Marine, Mikita, Mahindra, Duckbrand, Blue Moon Beer, ESPN, and The PGA Tour just to name a few. In addition to commercial work im also passionate about wedding film making. Ive been filming weddings since 2016 and have dialed in my craft to create custom cinematic wedding films for my clients. I travel the U.S.A. shooting weddings so don't hesitate to bring me to your state.
I've owned pretty much everything including the 500AF, earlier SQ10, NONS and Mint cameras. The only one that comes close is the Mint SF70+ if you want a purely optical camera experience. If you want something affordable that can take good pictures this is it. It's autofocus and the printer seems tuned to work with the narrow dynamic range of Instax film so you don't have the blown highlights, black shadows, and fuzzy softness associated with instant film. Some people say that takes away but it's better this way. The filters are neither here not there, the blue one actually makes may shots indoors under tungsten light look better, and the B&W effect looks like genuine B&W film. So it you want the "photographer" experience get a Mint, if you just want to take pictures for fun and not go broke, this is it.
Nice review man. Just what I was looking for. Quick question, does the drone control fit straight up in the bag? I noticed that you slanted it slightly before closing the bag.
Hi, I'm searching online this answer but can't seem to find anywhere. Just got a Scarlet X, it came without the top fan (it does have the front fan). Does that mean I'll fry the camera? Can it tolerate use without the top fan? (moderate use, about 5-6 hours on per day) PS: I think I just asked the same question on an older video :)

I’m in the same boat as you man. All these negatives I even bought the cooling fan which helped but did not 100% prevent overheating on a 4 hour shoot. I did have a ninja v attached to mine and was recording to the Fuji and ninja same time so that could definitely have made the camera overheat. As far as AF man I gave up on that but I need it so I don’t know what to do. I’m thinking about waiting for a new fx3ii or a s1hii if they release it within this year.
Dude when it comes to color, trust me you haven't seen the best yet. Look into emotive color and the XH2SALEX LUT they make. I guarantee with 100% you'll be blown away. That and the FilmVision II powergrade alone make the XH2S look so much more expensive that it is
Great video, excellent points. I really wish they would fix the AF. I'm too lazy to manual focus . I love watching professional videos shot on thr xh2s though
Well, Adobe now owns your video when you signed that license agreement soo technically they can do whatever they want with it. They probably just pushed the wrong button when they were reviewing their new video.
@@Loufilmmaker agreed. I think it’s their way of book marking the history books. Just so they can say they had the first AI cinema camera even if they don’t continue developing
Awesome video, man! Just stumbled upon your channel watching this video, and have to say, I really like your style :) Keep 'em coming! Looking forward to the update after your family roadtrip! 📸
In a sentence, I don’t think giving a bunch of free footage to venues easily equates to ~4 weddings booked. Wouldn’t want a noob to hear this and think this is a reality. There’s a lot more involved to unlock ops like this.
Will Smith once said, "There's a certain delusional quality that all successful people have to have." So, I'm gonna have to disagree with you. I get where you're coming from, but it's true that booking weddings isn't just about giving away free footage to venues. It takes a lot more, including building relationships, honing your skills, and consistent marketing efforts. Free footage can open doors, but it's the whole package that really gets you booked. Honestly, being somewhat delusional and seeing every opportunity as a potential game-changer has been a key part of my success.
What does the music have to do with the camera? I like it and its my channel there are tons of other reviews and channels im sure you can find a jam you like.
@@epochfilmandphoto Exactly, its a video review about a camera.... Why even have music let alone insert bad music. You weren't critiqued about anything else. Regarding your "its my channel" remark, I don't mind stooping down to your level of childishness; hope your channel doesn't grow.
I currently use the Sony fs5 mk2 and originally I wanted to start saving up for the red Komodo but that is way too expensive and unrealistic so I’m debating trading in my Sony fs5 mk2 and buying An older red camera
I haven't had this issue but I did have something opening an old project and my magic bullet looks were all messed up. My office is done with Adobe and moving everyone to affinity. I'll have to figure out a new pipeline that's not Adobe which sucks too because I like where C4D has been going bridging to AE.
I feel your pain. I was on Premiere Pro for over 3 years and kept getting burned. I move to FCPX and never looked back. My workflow has increased drastically. Plus no more subscription fees $$$.
@@MikeAustinMedia thanks for the comment check out today’s podcast where me and Troy decided to switch on the spot Adobe's Creative Crisis & The Alternatives | Epoch Creative Podcast Ep. 5 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KUj5S7D8kVY.html
I have a solution for you. Download the version you had created the project with. DO NOT save anything using this newer software. Keep the project file as it was. You'll get your footage out that way. Btw resolve beats premiere pro and sony vegas so bad it's not even funny
