I had that happen to me about six years ago on the Austin Bluffs open space with a deer. She just stayed put and we just stared at each other for a while, before I decided to turn around and try a different trail in the area. She just stayed put the whole time while I hiked on the trail on the other side of the ravine.
Not sure if I'll get on FB, but I just wanted to let you know also that there are a lot of gorgeous flowers along the Homestead Trail as it meets up with Cottonwood Creek Trail and all along Cottonwood Creek too. Plus the ones in my front yard are doing great this year too. I have a bunch that came up for the first time since planting the Rocky Mountain and Bee Rescue mix in my front yard.
