Four absolute legends in the ring. Bronco Lubich was supposed to officiate this important match but he got hold of some bad sushi that day at lunch and was unable to answer the bell so to speak.
No footage sadly, I only found pictures of this match. That and the Gordienko matches would be would the ones from Irak I'd like to find the most. I'll have another Adnan match on the channel soon though. From Kuwait in 1972 this time.
@@alessio5083 I'm an Iraqi American and I tried to find it and I came up empty handed. I was even friends with Adnaan's son who unfortunately is no longer with us. He himself tried to find the footage as well and no luck.
The Japanese wrestling magazine (published in October, 1975) tells that there were some wrestling shows held in Korea from 23th, September, 1975. Bobo Brazil took part in them. Other participants were Kantaro Hoshino, Kotetsu Yamamoto, Takashi Kimura (All of them were New Japan wrestlers). And Korean wrestlers (Pak Song Nam, Cheon Gyu Deok, etc.) participated in them. NJPW wrestkers came back to Japan on 26th, September. It is clear that the 1st match is Kantaro Hoshino vs. Masashi Ozawa (Killer Khan). I think the 2nd match is Pak Song Nam vs. Kurt Von Steiger. The 3rd card was Bobo Brazil & who vs. Cheon Gyu Deok & who. Cheon Gyu Deok is similar to Don Arakawa. Gypsy Joe was on Japanese tour on 23, 24, 25, 28th, September. So I think Bobo's partner wasn't Joe.
I was thinking IWE might have been involved in this tour, hence why having some of theirs wrestlers here would make sense. But I will look into it and edit the description accordingly. Thanks again for sharing your informations !
Hercules came to the AWA in the early 70's. Built like a tank, tag teamed with Red Bastein. He wrestled there up to his untimely death. His gimmick was that he was a friendly man, but you could tell when he started to get mad by his unknowingly flexing his chest. The gimmick worked great on tv with heel jobbers. Roger Kent would say, "He is starting to get annoyed". I would go to the mirror and practice after wrestling was over. I was built like the 123 kid.
"Rikidozan severely cut, unable to continue, the winner, Freddie Blassy" BS! Willing and able to continue, but winner should be Rikidozan on account of Freddie causing the severe cut.
THE JAPANESE DID ONE GOOD THING IN LIFE THEY KEPT ALL THE VIDEOS OF THE PRO WRESTLING AND THE VIDEO IS TOP QUALITY CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW MUCH GREAT VIDEO FROM THE SIXTIES AND SEVENTIES IS THERE IN THERE VAULTS WE HAVE NOT SEEN YET.
星野勘太郎&張永哲&千圭徳 対 永源遙&小沢正志&ドン・セラノ Kantaro Hoshino, Chang Yeong Cheol, Cheon Gyu Deok vs. Haruka Eigen, Masashi Ozawa (Killer Khan) & Don Serrano In Korea some wrestling shows were held between 3/19 and 3/25.
Sorry for my late answer but thank you very much for the information ! If you don't mind, can you tell me how you know this ? I looked on several websites with Korean wrestling results and I couldn't find anything relating to the match in this video.
I can tell who Japanese wrestlers are just by looking at their faces. I can also know Chang Yeong Cheol and Cheon Gyu Deok. A Japanese wrestling magazine published around this time mentioned that Hoshino and Eigen were going on a tour to Korea. Shortly before Korean tour, Don Serrano had been on a tour with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). Hoshino, Eigen and Ozawa were NJPW wrestlers.
