I want to keep my Fisker Ocean. I prefer to get the software update and the possibility to purchase parts and an extra key if possible. Do somebody know where I can order an extra key-fob ? Happy with my car.
I filed with Hagens Berman but haven’t heard back, other than acknowledgement of my filing. Nothing to loose here that I can think of…I don’t know the law but hopeful there is some justice in taking this action.
We are not all in the same boat! So tired of hearing people claim to speak for everyone. I have not contact them because like most owners I did not use Chase, but if I did, I still can not understand the upside of giving away my dream car and paying someone 30% of the value. You will not get the money and keep the car.
@@phillipliesemer8629 Well, we all are in the same boat ⛵ in the sense that we were all promised features, warranty, and support that we don't have nor ever will. That was the point 😆 as I even stated that in the video. Who peed in your Cheerios?
I sent my info in and haven't heard a peep from HB... Hoping chase will just see the err and pay back all that has been paid. Like my FOO, but it can rot with the rage O have over all of this... should be able to be compensated for all of the stress/anxiety this has caused
Hi. Just wanted to respond to why some of us haven't done this. Unfortunately I have been saving up for years to get my first EV and with the interest rates where they were I sacrificed other things to save up enough money to buy my Ocean outright. Savings all gone but felt it was better than paying so much more over the years in interest and now it's possible that all of you that financed may get some protection/reimbursement for that decision. Very happy for you but I will still be stuck with this car for a few years till I can save up enough for a downpayment on another car. I do love my ocean and love driving it. Hopefully with all of yours and Matt's great tips and links to parts etc I will be able to keep my car going. Appreciate all of your info and please keep the tips coming!! I just had to buy a new brake pedal cover today as mine broke this week.
I used Chase. I haven't reached out to HB but I also havent made a payment since February. I still have the car and my credits taken a hit. Im not sure if i should i don't want to own HB any money. I was also a contest winner that won a trip to Graz and the catch was i had to buy an Ocean One. I wonder if i can sue HF personally for that.
I did both the proof of claim and went through HB. I agree with you, I really don't see the downside. I haven't had that many issues with it, but recently, my air vents are not opening, and I keep seeing horror stories about 2.2. Hopefully those are the exceptions and not the norm, but I would most likely give up the car. Not having access to timely service or support, not having certain features that were the reason for getting the car in the first place (V2H capabilities for example), and not even having basic features that are standard on other cars (like smart cruise control with the distance following) are reasons why I would move on. It is a beautiful car and a lot of fun to drive and I was hoping to enjoy it for a long time. But the unknown weighs too much on me for something I shouldn't have to think about. i have sequence number 137! yep ordered Jan 2020, wanted for the solar , enough said, i am concerned that HB if the settlement is not enough and turn around and come after me for the additional funds!..once you sign that form, THEY determine THEIR fees...PS i reached out to chase about the warranty they gave me an 800 number for their "resolution" desk to talk about my situation...very interesting, haven't called yet
Here is from the FAQ If Hagens Berman prevails and my loan is discharged, will I have to pay Hagens Berman out-of-pocket, putting me in a worse financial situation? We considered that possibility carefully as we would very much prefer for our clients not to have to write us a check, even if they do benefit substantially from the outcome of this case. We will seek a cash payment for at least part of the judgment that we obtain in order to fund our fees. But such award is ultimately at the discretion of the arbitrator. We do not receive any fee unless we obtain a benefit for you. There is no scenario in which case you come out worse. By contrast, if you were to hire an hourly rate firm, you would owe their fee - win or lose at arbitration. ______________________________________________________________If the firm’s fees are more than my potential payout, am I responsible to pay Hagens Berman? The firm’s fee is a percentage of your recovery and cannot be more than your recovery.
It will be interesting to see what happens to peoples cars if Chase loses. Do the collect the cars and sell them to American Leasing to recoup some of their loss or do the owners get to keep the cars? Interesting Fisker saga.
Thank you for your review. I just got my Ocean shipped to the Bahamas. The shipper left the car unlocked and sadly the car was bricked on the arrival. But I figured out how to de-brick it. And I look forward to exploring all these features.
Using your numbers, my thinking is most Fisker Ocean owners like myself did not use Chase. For those that did, I hope you win $$$ or get your Ocean bought back.
HB will still review your loan paperwork even if you didn’t use Chase. The holder rule still applies to any loaner. It all depends on the T&C’s on your loan.

I've got an Ocean One on hold release at Newport Fisker pending 2.2 update thanks to NHTSA. They say 2.2 rolling out this coming week. Come on Fisker I want my Ocean!
Hey, I’ve got a question. I have 1 blown tire & 5K miles. Firestone rep is saying I need all 4 tires replaced due to tread wear. Saying on all wheel drive, if there’s 3mm difference, you have to replace all 4 tires.
@ljames7724 no, they are just trying to rip you off. Here is what to do. Get in eBay or wherever and order an equivalent tire with similar tread depth or just order two new tires instead of four. Always keep the best tires (most tread) in the rear of the vehicle to prevent hydroplaning. So either replace one with similar tread across from that tire or replace both tires. For example, let's say it is a right front tire. Find an equivalent left front tire with similar tread wear. Just remember, the best tires stay on the rear. 3/32 is fine as long as you keep them side to side. Also, you can always drive in Earth Mode unless you really need AWD. You really wouldn't want to be past 3/32 though as it would create stress on the AWD components over time as the tires would be rotating at different speeds
Why did Fisker waste money and time on models other than the Ocean? If starting a new car company promote one car, see if it meets the popularity test, improve as needed and if successful, then introduce a new model. The Pear, Ronin and Alaska were simply introduced too soon leaving the company in a fiscal and organizational mess.

As for that external power adapter, here's a question. Long LONG time ago Fisker was marketing that you would maintain a home, in case of a home power outage, you could use the Ocean to power the home. For sure, with the limitations of amps on that unit it will not, at all, power the home. Seems like a radio, lamp, etc.
We can't be sure of the faster wear on the right front tire. I also drive a 2020 BMW i3s REX. The REX engine is a small scooter engine that runs a generator and maintains the state of charge on the high voltage. The weight of the REX assembly is more weighted on the right rear and that tire wears faster than the others. Maybe as much as 2000 miles quicker. Rotation is important. Not knowing the weight distribution on the Ocean it's possible there is more weight on that side as you would expect both front tires to wear the same as the regen is distributed evenly to the front both tires.
@@2023gainer all of a sudden losing power on the freeway, getting locked in a vehicle during extreme heat, those are pretty serious. Never heard a Beamer on fire though
Another great video! Regardless of the fact that you just reading from a scripted thing, point is you do your best to provide some accurate info. It was definitely said that this was the most emotional vehicle created right? Frustration I believe is an emotion 😂🤣 at some point you need to do a video or an update video on your ocean and remember to adjust your thumbnails so that you can get more traction on your videos.
Imagine what an even greater vehicle this could have been if Fisker had stuck to their software roll out timeline. We should have been on 4.0 way before bankruptcy...😢
Having regen on both axels should reduce the friction brake wear on the rears. I have 15k miles on my FOO and all four tires have the same wear, with about 4k miles remaining on each tire. I drive primarily in FUN mode, and avoid jack-rabbit starts.

We're using the Fisker as a generator after a storm knocked out power for 3 days now. This video is so helpful so we dont have to go out every 29 minutes to hit the brakes.
Hello everybody, since FOA page is/should be the main Ocean's site to go to for help and current status I would welcome some section there which would list all software updates numbered (including future plan) with description of what is to be fixed or what functionality introduced/enabled with a manual how to update/what to do during the update.
