The best BAND in all of college sports! ROLL TIDE! The Crimsonettes and the flag corp ladies are such classy, beautiful young ladies that represent our state and university so well. Good job!
I know what you mean! I kept waiting, but nothing. If I can obtain the MDB 2023 senior name list along with their photos, I will edit them in as a slideshow and upload the video again. Let me know if you readily know where I might obtain this. RTR!!
The sound quality on this video cant capture the electricity of this event. To hear the MMillion Dollar Marching Band play "Yea Alabama" on the steps of the Gorgas Library will send shivers up your spine ! It a life changing experience !
The best I’ve ever heard the crowd going along with the song was when Tennessee beat Alabama last year in Knoxville!!!!!!! We can teach them a thing or two!!!!!!!!!!!
Um, Clemson or Tenn are two that I have experienced multiple times. Sorry to inform you, Bama doesn’t have the exclusive license on this level of atmosphere
Dixieland delight is a great song. I found this information about it after a bit of research. “ Make no mistake, though, this is the Crimson Tide's tradition. Tennessee fans have tried claiming the song as their own -- especially after the 2022 win over Alabama -- but it began in Tuscaloosa. As for the actual song, it's not necessarily about either Alabama or Tennessee, despite numerous references to the state of Tennessee. Rogers(the song writer) has said it's about living life in the South. Roll Tide!!!🔥
@@RustyShackleford776It’s about the girl, who is his “Dixieland” Delight, not his “Tennessee” delight. It takes place in Tennessee. That does NOT imply that it is ABOUT Tennessee. Dixieland is a general term for the South. And given that the state of Alabama is notably known as “The Heart of Dixie,” and the fact that it’s sung by a band literally called Alabama, it’s fitting.
As an alabama fan of sixty one years, I find it so embarrassing and classless for the fans to scream out, "f*ck auburn!" between every single lyric. Terry Saban went out of her way to bring dixieland delight back to bryant guinea stadium on the agreement that people would show a little respect and not use foul language. It just goes to show that no matter how hard you try to show trust in certain people they're just not worthy of it. For god's sake, show some class. I mean, does it really make people feel better or add value to their lives to use profanity so blatantly?
I understand what you’re saying and why. As a Bama fan just a few years younger I can also appreciate the efforts Mrs. Terry put forth and I’d personally want to honor that. As a career Navy man who was raised by a career Navy man, and now I’m a Towboater working on the Mississippi though, I’d say I have a 3 way foul mouth and tend to speak how I speak. I say this simply to show support for your comment but to also point out that for some people foul language isn’t so much any sort of blatant attempt at anything, or trying to add value, it’s just a normal facet of our lives.
