Hi, I upload full length albums by a wide range of artists for your (and my) listening pleasure, I tend to work at my own pace witch can be slow but I promise it will be worth it
Couldn’t even tell you how many times me and my friends partied to this album. Put 25 friends of yours in a house, make it a pot luck. Put this album on with a little LCD Soundsystem mixed in. Only those two bands. And light that candle. Can’t believe this came out in 2001 .. that was a bit ago. Goddamnit I’m almost 50. Against me …
Seen them a few times, but favorite was at 7th St and Entry in Minneapolis when Patty stopped the show and and went out with a few of us to make snow angels, then came back and continued to kill it.
An emotional explanation of life and it's aggressive behavior of changes and desolate propaganda of humanity. Moving forward to new paths. Destiny has created itself a new future for you and I. Goodbye past. It's us ...against the world 🌎
Amazing album. To the haters, you know there's crust punk, right? Plenty of room for epic melodic songs with big production. So many bangers on this album
I remember getting blasted back in 2002 listening to Reinventing Axl Rose in my friends 2 bedroom apartment that he split with 5 other people on the Venice Beach Boardwalk. Like, ON the boardwalk. It was miserable, and sweaty, and filthy, and I wish I'd taken the time to cherish those moments more. But the times I managed to not black out in my early 20's are very fond memories indeed.
@@ChunkyJo I was a gutter punk on the streets of Saint Augustine, Florida and I really loved all of these albums. I wish I would have enjoyed those memories too. I'm a man heading towards my 40's and I'm living in Kansas, of all places. My whole life, whole world, whole definition is different. We should have enjoyed what we had when we had it!
i come giving upvotes and comments to recent viewers to let them know, even us old punk fighters are still here. we havent changed, Laura has been proven correct. "an iron fisted champion, an iron willed fuck up."
Im 40 i just heard why cant i touch it for the first time this morning. I had to hunt for whatever album it is. I just heard somethings gone wrong again for the first time. Why have i never heard this before? Talk about some good shit reminds me of xtc, butthole, surfers, primus , blur , ashe, cardiacs... wild! Love these buzzcocks!
I respect it, but even after this 'era' - up until this came out, this is the Against Me! I signed up for. It wasn't the same, even after this album. Reinventing Axl Rose was what blew my mind, to hear the first time. That was the end of nu metal for me
Saw them live in a tiny spot in Dallas on this tour. They opened up with the first song from "the greatest story ever told" Me and my two friends were going absolutely insane and everyone else was I guess not huge fans. After the show we got hugs from the very sweaty band. They opened up with sundowner and wore anti-lawrence arms shirts as a joke. It was all their side projects in one stop. The guy from alkaline trio was there. Great night. Thanks guys. All these years later and this still rocks. This is what I'll be listening to as a crotchity old man
ah yes. the famously apolitical band, against me, with hits such as “the politics of starving” and “baby, i’m an anarchist” and “white crosses” and “osama bin laden as a the crucified christ” and “white people for peace” and, and, and…
God I forgot how much this album fucking jams. I saw them in Detroit, then followed then to Milwaukee when this album dropped. Good times, well, the ones I remember....
