@rattlecanonlexan836 yes...parts are interchangeable between the two as long as you don't like brand loyalty. Mcd parts are expensive....that's why I bought the rovan first to "tear up" before I bought the mcd. Then got the mcd and almost every part fit or were interchangeable. It's a rovan....but damn near whole drive train is mcd and it's just better. Mcd uses ball bearings...and not dogbones...way smother, less matiance, and faster for what I was doing.
trick, LOL!!! your supposed to use them before your run, actuall when your building your car, not after the fact. This is the last tie I wat you just waste your good hard earned money. It is very depressing to see your failover and over again, and then produce more excuses. WOW!!!!
Sir I'm pulling way less current , like under 300 amps, with a regular 8s monster mamba. I think you have spent a lot of money for nothing. I'm also at an output of 100 %. I ran 127mph. I think they are fooling all of you thinking your getting more and your actually getting noting. I have seen this esc several times thus far. I wanted another esc, it's is not going to be this one. And your using the worse chassis on the planet.
Ok....I'll listen...what platform are you doing it with may I ask? Because this is a quarter scale road car....it's a little bigger than a losi 5t. Technically the gearing is the same with a little modding....but still a quarter scale.
It's called a mcd chassis wheelbase extender. But you will also need a new rear drive shaft. Half-shaft, and bearing cups to make it work as the mcd uses ball bearings and not dog bones. Good luck.
Thanks for replying so quickly, didn’t expect that. I guess I’ll be saving up for that. Mines pretty much an ultimate minus the aluminum diff covers. I’m a huge fan of your videos. Can’t wait to see your latest project!
@@allscalerc which roller....if you ordered the rovan roller...it won't fit stock...my rovan has been extended to match the same chassis length of an mcd max pro
No....an fg is about 4 inches longer than a arrma limitless...an mcd is about the size of a 5t...actually bigger. They call mcd a 1/5th scale..and to an extent it is...but the max pro version make it a quarter scale by comparison.
To many reasons. Lol. Gearing to high, motor kv to high, cheap lipos, settings on flier to aggressive, remote throttle input detection isn't right, throttle cuve on remote not right, punch on esc set to high. I start out with everything on low settings to see where motor is happy. Flier esc is for motor kv 800kv and lower. Anything above 800kv use xlx2...that's what's its designed for. Anything 800kv and lower use flier because u can make up kv with voltage. You can beat me on 8s xlx2 1100kv, but I can beat you on 700kv 14s or 16s with same gearing on both....does that make sense, and mine will run cooler, and less electronic strain.
With that motor..get a hobbywing max4 or max5...that's what the motor was designed for. Flier is for 14s or higher, with motors with lower kvs than 800...that's why I ran flier because it was cheaper than mgm.
As the comment below me stated, that was impressive. I love the build of the car and the sound that made was incredible. I'm going to check out your other videos and see where you're going with this. I love the paint job on that shell and like the other commenter said it makes me want to invest in this MCD car. Nice work! Look forward to what else you've been up to.🍾👍
Thank you...and appreciate your sub....but the car in question started life as a rovan f5 that was converted and "extended" to fit the mcd body. There is a video explaining the process.
@paintendaveextremecollisio8057 I did a whole rebuild on the rovan f5. At the time I built that.....wasn't no Rovan Rally...there was only an MCD rally. I explain the difference between the two in another video. That rally started out as a brushless rovan f5...but it has an extend chassis to fit the McD rally body as well as a whole MCD drivetrain because they use ball bearings and not dogbones...makes for a smother, stronger, faster drive train as there is no resistance.
I almost pulled the trigger on of these, but the lack of run space is what kept me from buying one. If it just sat around my wife would drive me crazy running her mouth as to why i wasn't running it enough. Dope car man
Thanks.. it's such a great and fun car to drive even in a small space...I just go out there to do speed runs...I actually live in an apartment and can driv3 it around the complex. The great thing about the rally is that it can also be driven off road as well....mcd makes ofroad tires for it as well...so you have both options. On road and offroad.
man you probably aren't going to reply to this but I could sure use some help. I just got a rovan f5 and I can't for the life of me figure out what I need to install my 65mm long 1/5th servo. Servo box is too small and every 1/5th scale server I see is 65mm long.
I run 1 1/5th scale power hd servos and trim the plastic around and drill holes to accommodate the 65mm long servos. You are right...the servo tray is to small...but Power Hd servos are enough for what I'm doing
@@elvertmack5039 Thank you for pointing me in the right direction man. I thought there was some adapter or something I was missing. Now I know I need to go try to make it work lol.
Look under flier esc insulation. Basically like running a gas motor...need separate batter to power electronics and esc. Esc does not have built in bec...so it runs off of separate lipo, or bec.
OMG- Nooooo, say it so. You didn't even tell us the speed ........ MACK I need a body like that for my FG hook your boy up and let me know where I can get one. keep up the good work.
There are a couple of options out there I would use....same wheels I'm running which is Mcd wheels which are belted, Banna skins which are foams, or xmaxx wheels....either one will work as long as they have belted tires.
@@elvertmack5039 The belted tires on my Limitless started fail8ng at around 110mph. I can not get the GoneBannanas Ive even contacted the manufacturer directly. My batterybuddy does not have any stock
