So beautiful! Every one of you is so talented, and the euphonium soloist was just amazing. Wonderful job, it was absolutely gorgeous. Great job on those higher notes euph, so pretty! ❤️🎉🎄
Our middle school Symphony Orchestra will be performing this in February for the TMEA convention and our full orchestra is composed of 7th and 8th graders. BTW I play timpani
FOr me this wil rank alongside Spartacus, Phantom--Opera, Babylon, Felliniesque, and Tilt. It is that memorable and beautiful As a former Navy man it hits even harder.
OMG!!! I sat in on Boston's rehearsal last night and their show has grown by leaps and bounds!!! Their sound and visuals are just amazing. The additions made have made all difference in the story of the White Whale!!! And the guard--RIDICULOUSLY INCREDIBLE!!! Among the many things, the blind rifle throw and catch over Cpt Ahab on the stretcher was AMAZING!!!
What impresses me most about Boston is how they play such technically difficult music and march complicated drill while doing so. Many corps march, stop, play in place, and march again. Thoughts?
Is the hat and "uniform/costume" suppose to mimic a pirate's three-pointed hat and dress? Sorry, but The Cadets' show was more visually and musically entertaining.
I cannot believe I am saying this, but Crown Guard might be taking that Zingali from BAC this year. Both are good, but Crown seems a little better at the moment.
Not a chance of as of now. BAC has a way more difficult of a routine and it was wet and gusty winds during this show last night but they still battled through it well. It’s Boston and BDevils battling it out again for guard at finals.
@@DennisOBrien1 The weather was a factor for sure. They will clean things up and be a championship unit by finals. They were much better in Lynn it was an off night.
I haven't seen Crown's guard yet, but I watched Boston's rehearsal last night and their guard was ON FIRE!!! 🔥 Incredible choreo, talent, and skill!!! I was blown away!!!
That's my thought also, the story itself doesn't really have much substance, so portraying it in a marching show does no better, but i presume after these first bit of runs they'll start tweaking it.
the musicians should've all been the whalers and guard the ocean. I have an idea in my head of a pretty blue guard costume, idk why Boston did it that way. I think it would've been prettier
@@SWilla00946the ocean is meant to encompass the whale and whalers, so size and effect falls on the musicians vs the guard. I do wish the guard had flashier costumes. I expect that changes will be made to the drill after every performance! Can't wait to see them in person!
My pleasure! What a beautiful, moving piece! Caleb Alexander, an extraordinary euphonium player from Brandeis HS, told me that your piece was his favorite, which is why I filmed it. Best wishes to you and thank you for creating such a passionate work of art.
