Figgy Duff were one of my favourite bands from the 80's. The instrumental segments of this song, and many other Figgy Duff songs is so pleasing to my ears today just as it was 40 years ago. Pamela Morgan's voice to the remaining parts of their songs is playful, melodic, cheerful, and at times haunting.

Noel and I were good friends. He once showed up at a hotel bar where I was singing and plopped down cross-legged. on the floor in front of my mic’s and accompanied me, beating the beat with his fists on the floor, as I tried not to break into laughter When he decided to start Figgy Duff, he wanted me as lead singer. I was a blues singer at the time, but he had heard me sing folk ballads. I was about to move to England and couldn’t accept his offer, but I’ve always loved the band. Noel was a genius and an inspiration. I have a picture of him on my wall, and treasure his memory.
Sadly, the drummer, Bodran player - Noel Dinn - a personal friend, passed away in 1993 of throat cancer, and thus the date of 2014 cannot be correct. I have known the few original members of this fine Canadian group, and they were always good people, and loving people, and loved their music as can be heard.
@@bowehj96 It's also stated to be from 1982, at which point I believe they had recorded only their first album in 1980 (actually second, but the first on Island was not released). I'd love to find that Island recording, if you know where to find it. Sympathies regarding Mr. Dinn, he was a fine musician. We never met him, but have met Pamela.
Waw! I recorded this concert from a Spanish radio programme...mmmm...30 years ago? It was on one of my favourite folk tapes but had to imagine the faces, the instruments...everything! It's good to see the real things, no matter how late! Thanks for years of good music!
I'm literally weak in the knees to discover this! I used to listen to this album all the time when I was thirteen, I never imagined they had actually shot a video! Stunning! Are there more? Any chance of The two sisters song?
