I was trying to get started in 10th scale RC racing as cheaply as possible. I bought a used RC10B5M for $100 A traxxas Tqi for $40 Two 2s motiv batteries with a hobbywing XR10 pro G2s and blue tooth Programmer, and a reedy 17.5 for $250 And a used charger for $20 So $410 What would you upgrade first, the car or the radio? So far the biggest improvement ive found was tires im driving on a clay track, I tried with the tires I got with it. And then put on some smoothie 2's and that was a massive difference!
@@MX-CO definitely save for something better. The noble or whatever it's called seems to be very good and pretty cheap. Otherwise futaba 10px or sanwa m17. Buy once cry once
Ive seen guys that can Rip with Rear motor cars, ther was a guy the would set his car up with all rear traction and ald almost no steering und power, he would start steering his car comming into a corner and it would stiil keep going straight until he let off the power and when he let off it would turn it worked perfect with his driving style, he would absolutely fly through the straights sometimes with a frot tire off the ground, and go slow and steady on the inside of every corner and never crash!
I want to convert my b74.2 is there a kit for that yet? Also if i convert my old b64 your saying the front arms ar tekno et410? What front drive cva are used?
Hey! I just got a tekno et48 3.0 and ran it for the first time at Dirt Burners on Sunday! Also, no kidding, I just traded an xmaxx for a TLR tuned Typhon 6s and ran it as well!
I don't play mod but stick on 13.5T. As an outsider, I want to experience competition grade (but not go to competitions) but do not want to spend much money, so I've chosen xr10 pro stock v3.1 80A (instead of G2S). It's still expensive, but I want to say is - sticking to stock grade can lessen the expense of ESC & motor because there is less drawing current requirement of a lower rpm motor. :P
@RCAlley I've just bought an SMC Racing 5200mah 120C, and a typical Yeah Racing low motor gear 24T for my buggy. Need a lot of things to learn yet. I used to use EZrun, and it has a lesser technical requirement despite a heavier weight.
Even though they quit making these, I am still running it. I run this motor in 13.5 and in mod and usually podium. I just ordered another for a spare just in case. There are still a few out there. I wonder how it compares to the new slot machine?
Does the Round-Up circle button serve any purpose I have this charger I just got and I went to push in on it and it doesn't push it so I wasn't sure if it was broke or if it was just there as cool livhting
People say that oval racing is lame and off road is alot harder to do haven't actually drove oval competitively. It's alot harder to turn left then one would think. Being fast and consecutive takes work. Especially in a sprint or sc mod when it's open motor and esc. Even mwm is tough
@RCAlley most people do lol. got hooked because it is fast paced amd still takes skill to stay fast in the turns. Off road is fun but it seems slower paced with all the turns and timing of the jumps. I love how the adjustable arms drive through the turns atleast in sc modified. I'm sure sprint is the same
I honestly don't understand the amazement people have over a rear motor platform working. That's all we had for years. They work in all situations, if you know what you're doing. We had a guy 3 weeks ago run consistent 29sec laps that is typically a 30-31sec lap track with a rear motor car.
I picked up a gas truck and get to go race it in a week... totally stoked! 2wd outdoor is not easy, so why not add a bit more challenge and run a Nitro 2wd truck?
0:13 Could you tell me what hubs you're running on this? I got a RC10b4 Stealth and it's in decent condition but the hubs just use a pin and were before the standard hex insert type of wheels. I'd like to update this. Any thoughts? Thanks.
@@RCAlley I would be awesome to see that class come back, gas truck sure was a fun one, the finesse it takes to drive them made me a much better driver too. I started with a Kyosho Outlaw Rampage kit, then I got the XXXNT, I miss those days.
Where did you end up geared? I'm in the process of doing a 17.5 build for a B4.2 and was curious on a baseline. My track is much bigger but somewhere general to start with a 75t spur? Thanks!
Nice rig I’m restoring a Team associated Nitro 1/10 RC10GT Stadium Truck and I’m installing the New O.S. Speed .12 T1204 engine. Should be a Road Rock 👍👍👍🍺
In a oldschool loose dirt/clay track you woud beat them all. My B6.3 is horrible on lose dirt whit the laid back tranny. Rear motor Ultima rb6 beats it fair and square.
