Great vlog guys. We're on our first VV the end of Sept and can't wait. How early did you guys have to arrive to get into the shows? Is there any show you'd recommend?
@@FireandWaterTravel Oh. I suppose I missed the sofa pull out part. Will rewatch. I would have presumed the cabin would have 2 beds. Or is there a price difference for one compared to two beds?
All the other cruise brands out there could learn something from the Yacht club experience on MSC will you get all the complaints as people expecting yacht club experiences but only pain for Bella
My wife and I have been cruising in the MSC Yacht Club since 2016, and it is fantastic! Wait until the MSC World America arrives in April 2025. Our next voyage is on that vessel June 2025! Yacht Club poolside cabanas - there are a few reserved for the Owner's Suites, and the Royal Suites. The others are available as he said on a first come, first served basis.
As soon as you arrive at the terminal you check in at the YC Tent at the base of the escalator. Someone will escort you up to the X-Ray machines. They will wait for you to go thru then take you to the YC Lounge. You can relax have a glass of Champagne. Then a Butler will escort you from the YC lounge in the terminal directly to the Top Sail Lounge.
Hey guys! We were on board with you for this sailing. Nice review of the ship! Mr A was awesome for sure. We got a suite upgrade as well. What was your highlight, what needed the most improvement and would you sail again? We’re going back September 15. New sub for ya also #258. Keep the videos coming 👌
I think the highlight was the entertainment, it was pretty good. Food needs improvement the most especially the Steakhouse. They have a lot to improve on for that to charge the extra $$ they do for it. I would sail again on a longer sailing and when kids are back in school. this one had a lot of kids due to the sale they had going on with low price and kids sail free.. But I was really impressed with how they fixed most of the issues they had on the 1st few sailings, even the people who worked at the port said so..
@@yb8657I think so. There were 3 of us booked in a breezy balcony but after we got onboard Mr A and Viscily said they remembered us from the Paradise and then said they had some bigger rooms open we might be more comfortable in.
Wow this was my first cruise when I was a child in 2008. The ship was called “Costa atlantica” and I remember that Havana sports bar was called “café Florian” where my parents went to drink coffee in the evening, it was inspired by the café Florian in Venice. Now they stripped all the baroque decor but I think the rest of the ship looks better now.
You have to go on this ship then!! If my first cruise ship was still in service I would love to be on it again. MAS Paradise is very similar to it, that is why I like it so much. Going on the Islander next week.
They actually have around 100-150K bottles in the restaurant's win cellar alone. around 1 million (!) with the storage. Bern's is much more than just a cool place. it's one of the best steakhouses on the planet (and in the US for sure). everything they do is high-end and they offer an experience second to none. been there 7 times already, all the way from Israel, and I'm looking forward to visiting many more times! <3
So when you look online with Paradise Beach club, it’s a certain price and then you pay extra for the water inflatables in life, jackets and things like that
@@imeldahenriquez2140 it cost us around $1200 plus air fare and hotel stay the night before in Roanoke... but the prices change every year and the accommodations you choose will also change the cost.. if you call them they can give you current prices..
yeah, it was pretty awesome! We got a super deal on this cabin that I do not think will happen again.. It was great for a Celebration Cruise on the Celebration!
Hey Darin, thanks for the video. I've watched a bunch of your grilling videos and really appreciated your perspectives. Was pleasantly surprised when I saw these travel videos. Thanks! We've been on several MSC cruises in the past couple of years and have always enjoyed them. We're going on Seashore next week and looking forward to it. Best wishes!
Thank you for doing this video. What site did you find the list that shows which experience gives you what? I am not sure if I am going to have a hard time on this ship as it seems as though everything is visual (I am blind in one eye and can't see out the other lol)
it is on the MSC website.. If you are interested in booking a cruise let me know and I can help you get the best deal on the best ship and experience! www.msccruisesusa.com/cruise/experiences-staterooms
Great room Review! we are in process of booking and I think this is the room were going to do!!! thank you. Also when you went to Ocean cay was your room on the side of the island to see fireworks etc?
they do not have fireworks, it is a laser light show from the Lighthouse. it is best to watch that on shore as the way the ship docks only the Yacht club and a few other cabins have a good view of the show. Enjoy your trip!
Your video is misleading because I put in for the upgrade and I was approved for the Aurea Balcony but the Aurea features do not come with the balcony. I ended up cancelling the Aurea room because I don't feel it's worth $300 to get a bigger balcony and not the other Aurea Features. I already had a balcony with the Fantastica plan.
who told you that the Aurea Balcony did not come with the Aurea features? We actually did the upgrade and got all of the Aurea features, so whoever told you that was mistaken...
@@davefineout5644 here is one thing to look for, we did have to go to customer service on the ship as they upgraded the room but we had to have them upgrade the experience on the ship, which they did with no issue, so if you get there and it still has Fantastica on your cabin card go to customer service and have them change it. They told us sometimes they do not change it in time for the experience part to get to the ship, but if you are in an aurea cabin you get full Aurea benefits..
I saw a video from another person awhile back that was saying that if you upgraded to the Yacht club from another level you did not get Yacht Club benefits, but they were also wrong. They were just repeating what they heard from another person who had never even been on an MSC cruise. There is a lot of BS out there about the MSC cruises for sure..
@@FireandWaterTravel Yes, That is true about mis information, I was on Divina in 2015 and I liked that it was more laidback and relaxing. Looking forward to seeing this ship! Thanks again for the great info!
The snorkeling at Klein Bonaire was magical. I really wish the cruise lines would cut a few hours off the time spent in Curaçao and/or Aruba so more time can be spent in Bonaire. Bonaire is usually 8-4. Not enough time! I’d prefer 12 hours so there’s time for an island tour AND a few hours snorkeling. Thanks for the video.
@@FireandWaterTravel yes - it’s $99/person & here is the description from the MSC app: Book now the butcher's Cut Steakhouse dining experience - Your own Chef... Your own Sommelier! Further enhancing your dining, the Sommelier will personally serve your table, telling you all about the New World wines served with your meal. The experience includes two glasses (per person) of New World wine (soft drinks and fruit juices for the little ones).
@@jdavid2003 although they call it the Chef's table, it does not sound anything closer to what you get on Carnival or RC..Carnival it is a 7 course meal with unlimited wine...
yeah, i can only comment on the cruise I was on but we had very little issues. Ocean Cay speciality dining was not the best as far as service and food goes.
only took us about 30 minutes... we were told to be in the "Brooklyn Lounge" by 8:30am.. We were off the boat by 9am. You can option for self-assist and get off earlier by taking your own bags..
it really depends on the category you want to bid on.. they will give you a minimum amount they will accept (ours was $300 total for an upgrade to an Aurea Balcony over a Fantastica Balcony) and the counter offer they gave us for the Premium Suite with Whirlpool was $450..
@@dabullali5980 did you get an upgrade email? if you did, did you bid and was it accepted? if they accepted it you should be good to go, you may have to make sure if you were upgraded to a different class like Aurea from Fantastica that you check at the customer service desk to make sure they upgrade you on the ship.. We had to do that but it was easy..
Do you happen to know what MSC’s current policy is when cruising with other couples & you would like to dine together? I’ve read in some other posts (about 3 years old) that there is an issue of one couple has a drink package & the other does not. We are hoping there is a way to sit with the couple with the drink package.
they are located on the buffet line, one on each side.. they are open during lunch time until like 5:30pm. They are kind of like on a corner, if you walk the entire buffet line you will see them.
