I've been through lots of hurricanes and never felt the need to retreat to an inner room for protection but when this happened I stopped recording and went to an inner room with no windows for 5 minutes. When I came back out the sun was shining. LOL
In general, I like the tribute album that the Puscifer cover is on but I am not a fan of their version, although maybe I should give it a second chance since are saying it grew on you. The original version of this song was a b-side and always a favorite, but something they didn't play live. Another b-side that is great is a cover of Pink Floyd's Lucifer Sam. Pretty sure you can find that easily.
Thank you @lotusbunny, just as that Love and rockets music video I posted was the first video I ever made this is the first thing I ever recorded. The product of a long cold central Pennsylvania winter and the discovery of jazz cigarettes. 😊
Thinking of your private future You snatched at the trees In the starry dark green sleep Thinking of your private future You think at the river and set it flowing A late fog's lifting a fast wind's rising So you turn to reflect on your brief life Session slip Thinking of your private future Cut by the scars of timeless coming back Realize the unreachable is nothing Cool winds wash down your hope and you slipped Cool winds wash down your hope and you slipped God's good to the humble As the devil is to fools Stop looking back in anger Cause you can't change the rules Believe in where you're going But don't lose your yesterdays To terrify to cry its true Your life is just a game So I need a million dollars To sit on mountain tops To see the stars surround you Is to see an awful lot I see the work of sinners I see the work of saints So I see the work of everyone That's ever ever been Sleep without reason Your laughing masks your love You've got so many scars How does it feel deep in your heart? Cause when the covers blown over It'll crack up your skin So now you're drowning your sorrows In whiskey and sin Live the life you love In the god you trust And don't take it all to seriously AHHHH AHHHH AHHHH AHHHH
If you're interested, here are some videos from the 2nd and 3rd nights at the Ace hotel theater in Los Angeles. The first two tracks on the playlist (The Light & Holiday on the Moon) are the ones I am most pleased with but they are all good. ru-vid.com/group/PLSi-yX1fClWMxJSS0w01q0FeYdnVPkDp6&si=Fqi-MSXXZOTXjFf0
@@rubenroman5663 Nice to hear from someone in Argentina. I am a Man City fan so therefore an Argentina fan because of Sergio Aguero, Nicholas Otamendi and Julian Alvarez. In fact, my parents were traveling to Antarctica during the world cup and happened to be in Buenos Aires on the night Argentina won the semi-final. My mom had her Aguero shirt on and was out on the street making friends. I have a short video posted that my dad took at a street cafe there as the game ended. I'll post a link below. It's a shame that not too many bands tour in South America but at least now through RU-vid you can watch shows you wouldn't otherwise have a chance to see. There were a number of people that posted videos from the Love and Rockets tour last summer... Most are much better quality than mine. Thank you for subscribing. I appreciate the support. Here's my dad's video from Buenos Aires. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-t_YhWudY5ZQ.htmlsi=HgSgYn8uHfEUltKx
Thanks for commenting. I think the fact that they stayed true to their original sound and style is what made these shows so good. Other than an upgrade to the light show they looked and sounded the same as the first time I saw them in 1987 with Jane's Addiction opening. They didn't tweak anything to sound more modern or do any silly remixes. Everything sounded exactly as it should and the song selection could not have been better.
Yep...first time ever using a video camera much less editing a video. I was home from school over x-mas break and my dad had just bought a camera and editing deck before my family went to Yosemite and Big Sur.. I shot and edited 2 others the next week and when I returned to school I changed my major from business to film & video. The second one I did was for the Revolting Cocks song "Beers, Steers and Queers" and the 3rd was a David Byrne instrumental song called "Ninevah." I don't have copies of the other 2 transferred from VHS or I'd put them up.
@@lotusbunny on the 1st of June Mr. Dobby was riding his muskox in the rice paddy when a raven landed on his shoulder. The raven carried an envelope from Dobby's Aunt Lolo and crazy Uncle Ivan in America. Mr. Dobby jumped off his muskox and ran home to open the envelope. Inside he found a round trip first class ticket from Mumbai to Los Angeles, a coupon for two nights at the Ace Hotel, and tickets to see Love & Rockets play with Dobby's favorite band, Automatic. Dobby rode his muskox for 7 days and arrived at the airport just in time. He parked his muskox in long-term parking and rushed to get on the plane just as the doors closed. Dobby quickly fell asleep with dreams of Kama and his headphones playing the sweet sounds of Automatic. Dobby woke up in Los Angeles where a limousine whisked him to his hotel via the Sunset Strip and then that's the last thing he remembers. The rest of the trip was a blur of rooftop parties, celebrities, drugs and rock & roll. The only other thing he remembers is his crazy Uncle Ivan kept saying he felt so old and unhip because he had never heard of Automatic and they were soooo good. Uncle Ivan said Go-Go's+Joy_Division+Suicide=Automatic but Dobby doesn't know what that means. Lotus Bunny, here are Dobby's two favorite songs by Automatic. I hope you like them. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ryh1pG3DFV4.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MLbhbQ84sNM.html Dobby would like to thank crazy Uncle Ivan and Aunt Lolo for a wonderful trip to America. The flight back to Mumbai was long but the boy was pleasantly surprised to find that his muskox had been fully washed and waxed (Armor All on the hooves too). Dobby is still on the long ride back to the village but he has his headphones on...listening to Automatic and dreaming of Kama.
@@Dobby_from_India I'm having a rough day and reading this comment about Dobbys adventures has brighten up my day a bit. Thank you so much so nice to read Dobby had such a good time. I will be checking out these tunes in Dobbys honor.
@@lotusbunnyI am so sorry I have not responded to your kind message. In India we just got 1G so it takes a little longer for messages to get through. Dobby hopes you are doing well and sends love from all of India.
That is pretty nice at 2x! I would like to rerender it much longer so changing the speed like that doesn't mean the video is only 20 seconds long. I could also re-render at different speeds so changing the settings isn't necessary. Only problem is I can't find the original images I made in Photoshop to create the video. I put this up years ago and it really never got many views so I kind of forgot about it. I am thrilled it's getting some views now so hopefully I can find the files and make some improvements. I really appreciate your watching and your feedback!!!
