I’ve been riding for 21 years, the first memorial ride I was in was many years ago and it was my first and last. In my opinion, and this is just my opinion, memorial rides are just another excuse to get out and ride and be stupid. The one I was on had nothing to do with the person we were “remembering”. They just sped the whole time, ran red lights, weaved through traffic and rode on the wrong side of the road. They stopped to eat, went to the beach and then rode back home. At least you guys went past his house, so props for that.
I just happened upon this video and all these guys saying he is an amateur is lame. I am sure you are all “professionals”. Just be quiet unless you have something constructive to say.
the only issue ive ever had keeping with sport bike riders is how much faster they stop. i have stock breaks on a softail heritage and it takes me forever to stop in comparison. they would only lose me if we got over 100 to 110 and were trying to keep accelerating. bike tops out at about 120-130 depending on conditions.
So today was the first time for me riding a bike I came from driving only manual cars. My brother went and got the bike for me and we went out for me to ride it I have been watching this video all day and. I took off with it just as you are in this video and he was like oh crap you got it 😮 and I said ha well I cheated 😅
I ride all sorts of 2 wheeled things ,depending on the weather One of my most memorable moments on 2 wheels - was in a road cycling group doing a 100 mile run through the hills in a tight pack - on a climb a group of sport bikes caught up with us as it flattened out, we all crested together side by side .... then did the next descent through the twistie bits all the way down. Man, beast and bike - all knee to knee the whole way down to the next flat. Fist bumps and smiles and salutes all round at the end. Was great
I took my harley to a meet i straight up dm some guys on tiktok or ig and asked if i could come and ride be a part of their group and i went meet all of them they added me to a whats app group chat and it was great vibes and we frequently ride together of course i just get left back wen they get the zoomize but i enjoy just seeing everyone on two wheels enjoy the ride.🔥🔥🙏🏻 love this content bro keep it up also whats ur other socials?
I noticed some suet around mine so it’s obvious that I have a leak also, but did you get a weird noise when accelerating along with it? Maybe like a chirp or a squeak at high RPMs? It’s faint but not sure of its related or not.
memorial rides are some of the most beautiful parts of moto life... love this. RIP to everyone the road claimed and my prayers to everyone that lost someone to the street.
@Shadowman-1960 I can grab as much front brake at that speed as I want and I'm not going down. Instead of braking harder he dumped the bike on the ground like an idiot.
I put Viking saddlebags on my '06 Sportster 1200L, using easy brackets. They fit properly, lock on, and can be removed in seconds with a key. The brackets stay with the bags. There is nothing left on the bike but the small chrome docking posts. I put a really tall sissy bar on it, and have a Viking bag designed to attach to that. It holds a ton of stuff. My bike has the 4.5 gal tank, and it's wide enough to put my 14L Cortec magnetic tank bag on. Nothing flops around on the road.
The hardware does stick out, but I don't think it's noticeable. I've been riding without the sissybar on and the hardware still on the bike. I'm not sure about your turn signals, but I would think it will be fine.
great video. i got a question ... for the downshift : are you still using your left foot while your clutch is in and you are doing the throttle blipping? thanks!
I have a Sportster S and showed up to a few of these. It's like herding kittens... That rider for sure grabbed all the front brake because he was distracted looking to the right and panicked. Never had to worry about being rear ended by another biker until one of these rides. Not gonna lie. Some times I enjoy it. Other times the old man kicks in. Screw you Deebo! Get out of my head LOL. Ride safe Brother
9:49 I like everything about that custom chop apart from the high pipes.👍 I'm building a BMW F650CS with Apes and lots of chrome.😂😂 Johnny! Thanks for sharing ,y'all ride safe! 👊✌️
32:26 any new riders, you need to leave room for car doors opening and park near the front(outside) of the space so your bike can be seen to Drivers looking for a space. 👍 It happened to me in my car, I think yes, a space and drive up and turn in , damn, a scooter or bike parked more than halfway in. I saw it coz Im just myself in the car, but imagine some dance mom with car full of Princesses , that bike would be shunted. And they'd probably disappear without saying and you'd come back to an unrideable mess.
