Thanky ou sooooo much man !!! Just bought a 2012 raptor 700 and to my surprise after my usual checkup i saw broken case saver bolts… just ordered the same has you!
I actually had a 2010 450x EFI. It is a lot more trail friendly size wise but the gearing is actually the same. And I found the suspense was still pretty stiff. The engine is supposed to have more bottom end but its still pretty challenged to keep going at lower speeds without the motor dying. Cool quads though.
Sorry I dont recall saying it had a mechanical emergency brake. The rear brake is hydraulic but the rear brake foot pedal Is redundant as a back up, but it never works on any of the 3 Ive owned. Then it has a catch for the left lever for parking, and that lever activates the front and rear. Which I was saying works better than atvs with separate mechanical e brakes, like Yamaha uses, and basically fail from the factory.
Which company built this machine? I've seen a Kawasaki model which looks almost identical and there's also an Artic Cat one that looks similar too. Just wondering which company actually created these?
Yep good catch. Suzuki made them, and they had a deal to share platforms with Kawasaki in the early 2000s. They had some bikes that were the same as well. And they used to have an ownership stake in Arctic Cat that ended in 2012, hence those models.
@@ickdon7999 Haha, unfortunately that's too late. 1st of November is the cutting date for quads. After that they need to have ABS for registration.... Germany 😞 But thank you!
Im right a 6 ft. Honestly it feels a little small. I normally ride a large frame or S4 on my specialized bikes. I think a large would’ve been a little better. I’ll let my buddy ride it a lot and he’s 510, 511 and is happy with it.
That's right... fuel injection, irs, power steering, cup holder and a built in screen... That's exactly why they dont make them anymore... Peoples wants all the gadget on their quad and are desapointed when it doesn't handle like a Blaster...
I wouldn’t consider fuel injection the same as adding a screen. Id call it more efficient engine design. Interesting take. And people must be OK without screens or they would not still be selling the raptor 700 or YZ 450, and both are fuel injected now.
@@FunGoingFast no but my Yamaha mechanic said that was fine. There was actually a leak in the new line that he had to fix first. I asked about the master cylinder and he said it wasn’t the issue. Honestly not sure how he can tell but that’s what he said
not the best four wheeler to exist by any means but perfect for any person who is inexperienced, young, or is gonna push the machine further than themselves and crash. I own a 98 and have rolled that thing countless times, but everytime it starts right up and i can ride it back home. Thing is bulletproof, as a 15 year old who has ridden other sport quads like the 400ex, I can safely say that its the perfect quad for someone who isnt the best. I can push the quad to its limits and sometimes thats what makes riding so much fun.
Well said. Agreed 100%. And there is something to be seen for learning the limits wirhout dying or getting hurt seriously. Thats the way to become a skilled rider. Thanks for commenting.
@@FunGoingFast it blew up on me. It was probably my fault since the oil was a tad bit low but it blew up nonetheless. Had I not been close to a road id be dead.
I had a 01 yellow trailboss in high school and I took it to a guys Mx track and it loved to jump 20ft tabletops (didn’t have the go-nads to hit doubles) was 3 feet short of making a 40ft and shattered the washer on top of my rear spring
Could you help me ? I have one 2023 but previous owner messed up the wires trying put a headlight on it now it don’t have the gas and injection cable plugged and I can’t find where it goes on the bike. Could you look your and give me a ideia please ?
You know what I love about this review. The fact that he is 100% correct! The gen 1 absolutely feels lighter and more playful. Then Gen 2 is quieter and better for power sliding but I would rather have a Gen 1 because it revs better and is lighter and is more comfortable. 2004+ all the way!
The Raptor is redesigned. It has mich better and updated suspension and the motor was also revised and it has more hp. So it is based on the Warrior but is more modern.
