love everything about this. im learning how to use coloured pencils for mark making in a solo coloured pencil piece or a mixed media piece w watercolour/gouache and coloured pencils. it's easy to do traditional mark making w permanent ink pens etc, but it's so different when you use the (more or less) the same colours as the piece to create textures, especially w Prisma pencils being so soft. I really really really want to become competent in this. to be able to create depth, saturation, perspective etc w just coloured pencils as mark making tools. because of this im on a hunt for coloured pencil artists who use coloured pencils (esque) in one way or another to create textures via mark making. so many techniques and inspirations. ty 🌟
Hi! The journal is one I recently bought from Etsy. I’ll be using it throughout the month. I love the square format! www.etsy.com/shop/LonettaAvelarDesigns
Oh, what fun! I haven't used crayons in ages, and I am falling back in love with them. So many good memories as a child, that big box of crayons was the best. Thank you for sharing this. Looking forward to the next prompts.
Thanks for sharing this with us! I’ve been wanting to try gouache, so have been looking for tutorials, and enjoyed your video. I do have a couple of questions regarding materials. What paper do you prefer to use with Gouache? Also, what paper did you order within your LMBP journal?
Yay!! 🙌 I’m so glad that you re-uploaded this video Janet. I have never heard of this brand before so it was great to be able to hear all your thoughts. 🤩🫶🙌
Lies! Not pen to paper - I saw a paintbrush in there a couple of times! 😂 in all honesty - this is lovely, and inspirational. I love your selection of colours!
love your art... just a wee suggestion... have you thought about putting some sort of music on the background while watching the fast forward bit? thanks for the video 🙂
I love watching your process videos Janet and the bright and cheerful colours you use ❤ time to play with mine soon. You have inspired me 😁💚❤💜🌈💛🧡💙 Question for you: have you ever used metallic or fluorescent paints?
I love these Janet! I love that they are so fluid ❤ lots of movement in your paintings (I love to see fluidity in art, it makes your art come alive 😍🎨) TYSMFS
Janet, as you said yourself, perspective! Perhaps I am alone in this but I love what you call your 'ugly art' ❤ (how about experimental art? I mean a lot of the pieces you showed us you were experimenting with). One man's junk is another man's treasure...that kind of thing. Your paintings are so full of colour and I love colour 😁 oh and your kitty is cute 😍
