I try hard to write a cool song So I start with something simple Like trying to put my shoes on Now something kinda clicked Cause you relate a bit But no one’s gonna care about a shoe song I try hard to write a cool song But I gotta make it matter so maybe I’ll throw the news on Could I relate the shoes To 2022 Or maybe an election down in Tucson I try throwing something cool on So I’m listening to Kendrick And playing the Swimming Pool song Oh why did I do that Cause now I hate my track I’m quite aware I’ll never write a cool song But who really needs a cool song? There’s so many better melodies, Why do you need a new one? So stop writing a song About writing a song You’re losing their attention Buddy move on
Not to burden, but could you make an instrumental of this? I'm using it to study but I keep getting distracted by the words. My favorite part of this song is that funky trumpet tho, instrumental will keep that. Whatever happens, thanks for the edit!
Steve's Going to London is a song with no deeper meaning. Verse 3 of the song potentially adds some deeper meaning. Without the verse the song is more similar to The Beatle's song Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da.
Anyone else feel like this part of the song (esp the first couple seconds after "you'll make this rather snappy won't you") sounds kinda like Terraria music?
Does any user viewing this think this is the worst part of the song? It's out-of-place and doesn't sound good in the slightest... Wait, was that why RU-vid recommended it to me? DO THEY KNOW!?
This section is like 75% of the reason I listen to this song, so here's my perspective. As a chump who makes music myself, I relate so much to the thought process this part of the song describes. I agree that it's out of place where it is, I would've preferred it was its own song. (Also so that it would be longer.) I love the stylings of Neotheater, and this is probably the most Neotheater-esque portion on this album. Obviously we disagree regarding its quality, but that's neither good nor bad, just different.
