They really nailed the whole vibe. If you told me this was from 95 id believe it Edit; wtf this bands American!? They usually arent very good at black metal.. this is surprising.
finally a modern production with a good-sounding snare ! I hate those "buck-buck-buck-buck! weak and generic snare tones of most modern productions ! And yeah, this is very oldschool !
I love how well they nail that savage Bestial Warlust sound. Especially the vocals and the guitar riffs. However its cool that they managed to improve a bit on the sound when it comes to the songwriting and drumming. Might be a blasphemous take, but I think it flows way better then previous Bestial warlust records.

I swear to you that this is my very first time hearing Mayhem- Black Metal which isn’t affiliated with the Monthy Python Flying Circus television series ( See Venom before they got serious enough about their writing ✍️. Dimmu Borgir when they got onto the Ozzfest annual festival, but never really listened to the Big 3; Darkthrone ; Burzum and this particular release which I have heard was THE one that really showed the true spirit of the genre. My late bff/ vocalist from’PostMortem Johnny McCarthy lent Me a book called Lords Of Chaos and I absolutely was blown away by the history of these characters like Dead whom wound up well.. DEAD! Count Grishnak serving the rest of his life in prison forever.? The whole corpse paint deal with honoring their Viking ancestors and I’m sure you know so much more about these bands who’ve been influenced by both Hellhammer/ Celtic Frost and Venom themselves whose album Black Metal is the blueprint of all things considered inside this style of music. I have recently subscribed to your channel instead of storing some of these demos essentially into my IPhone library cuz there’s been far too many that’ll pop up on it and I find myself enjoying them as much as the previous act!
