My problem is it asks for me to enter the password to use connected services. I enter the correct password and it says its invalid. It never accepts the password. I even changed the p/w and it still won't take it. PITA.
Did they ever include these in the GMC Sierra? I know some Yukons had them. My dad's got an (I think) 2015-2016 Sierra and it'd be wild if I can blow his mind with this next time I see him
hello i have a 2017 traverse lt my head unit has no audio streaming will not download phone book ect it does have wifi through onstar if i make call with phone i can talk through cars bluetooth it is not mylink i have ordered a factory dvd navigation unlocked head unit my link or intellink to install will i be able to use android auto on it? Would the car needed something else done to it?
You should contact your bosses and recommended a system update that allows you to press the home button and the home screen be displayed, and the only screen icon that works is the settings icon that takes you to the valet mode screen to unlock. Or a feature to lock the compartment without shutting the screen down. If someone see’s the screen in valet mode they instantly know something valuable it behind it.
You know, I just had to go and look for myself. And, of course, you're right! Why, I do not know. But if I can find a good answer for you, I'll post back here. - Sunny
That is done on your My Chevrolet App once you've established the connection. Scroll down to "Wi-Fi Hotspot 4G LTE," click that and scroll down to the settings where you can change the ID and the password and save those new settings. - Sunshine Chevrolet
I take it the mylink has to already have android auto on it? I have a 2014 cruze with my link and it doesn't seem to have many options at all. I'd love to be able to connect my android phone to it
Yes, unfortunately the Cruze did not get the Android Auto incorporated in MyLink until the 2016 model year (here is the list of GM vehicles and the start dates for your info: www.android.com/auto/chevrolet/ ). Sorry about that. Let us know if there's anything further we can do to help. - Sunshine Chevy Team
Thank you, Ahmad, for your interest. Zak replies to your question, here: LT trim level trucks can be ordered with built in factory navigation. However, All of our trucks come built in with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (compatible phones include IPhone 5S and Androids with KitKat or above), which allows any trim level truck to have navigation through a USB plug in, from Work Truck all the way up to High Country. Thanks again, The Sunshine Chevrolet Team (d'oh, I said "Chevrolet" again...;-)
Well, the answer to both questions is yes. If you would like to give a call to one of our friendly, customer service representatives to start the ball rolling, the number is 828-684-3571. The stock number for this particular truck is 9021. You can check the specs on the truck further at our website, www.drivesunshinechevy.com. Thanks again.
@@MichelLinschoten It does make sense in certain situations. For instance, you might keep a gun in that compartment and want to be keep it locked unless/until you need access to it
@@cyranodeluk I get that, but if you're not advertising the fact that the screen lifts up to the kids you should be fine. I also have kids, but it comes down to training.
What is the software version for the Android update. I have a compatible 2016 Colorado that needs the update but my dealership is Clueless about the update.
Hey, Alex. Zak replied with the following on your question: He just needs to update his phone with whatever newest available android update there is. I think he needs to be running 5.0 or higher, known to Android as "Kit-Kat". The newest is 7.0, called "Nougat".Zak Hope that helps and thanks for reaching out to us.Phillip Sunshine Chevrolet
