I am an avid postcard collector and eBay seller for more than 25 years. I want to share my knowledge and experience in the antique postcard world with other collectors and resellers, and promote the love of postcards to the upcoming generation of collectors and resellers. At the same time I hope to learn new practices and strategies to make my own business more successful.
I love your videos, and the postcard Dawgs are so cute! I can't sell any postcards hardly ave.of 1 a day worse in the 21st century for me even for the summer slowdown
I don't research all cards. There are many that I've seen or sold before, so I go with past experience on those. If it's something I haven't seen before, or looks like something special, I will use eBay Product Research to do a quick search. If nothing turns up there, I do a general internet search. I have to admit that I don't spend a lot of time on any single card. Thanks for watching and for your question.
Keep listing Mark! Last few weeks before back to school for most of the nation. I do not think buying old postcards is top of mind right now as parents buy backpacks, school clothes etc. They're also trying to cram in a few last days of vacation before the kids start school. Once September comes, sales will begin again to pick up..
Thanks for sharing, my favorite card you sold was the birds eye view from Texas. I like your commenting on the home town cards and I'm glad your o.k. 'Twas only a glancing blow from the E train.
I enjoy seeing others' personal collections. Quite a few dealers do not collect and there is certainly nothing wrong with that. But, the way you care for yours and organized them is impressive. Inspires me to do the same with mine.
Nice postcards in the collection and some really good sales. Enjoyed listening and watching while drafting. The subtle humor didn't fall on deaf ears either, had me laughing with the IQ reference.
That series of Harriman ship yard cards ideally should be kept together. I live not too far, from there and some of the local historical organizations may be interested in them as a collection. If not, then a local collector. Any way to contact you?
