Here's how my luck is going: Malicious Liquid Metal Slime appears! 2 Malicious Metal Slime appear! Then before I even do a single move, Flee! Flee! Flee!
Haha. It says in the pinned comment tho to use electro at the start of the turn cycle. So yours is not about bad luck man, that's just pure miscalculation.
I noticed your strength was 999 on several characters. Does that mean somebody with 999 strength is stronger than somebody with like 700 strength and 999 attack? I had thought that once you hit 999 attack, you could not get any higher. I must be wrong since you are putting out much higher numbers than I am.
I assume you’re in act 3, how do you get vicious enemies in the overworld? Tried it in drustans labyrinth where there are vicious enemies but once I cast electro light just normal ass metal slimes appear, how do I get them viciously versions again?
It's RNG, so can't guarantee 100%. But personally, I find that if you reset the game before starting the power leveling, as in you close the game/program/app and then reopen it, you'll get lucky more often. Not an exact science tho. As for how to make sure the slimes don't run away, it's as written in the pinned comment. Use Electro Light at the start of the turn cycle. This will pretty much guarantee at least 2 kills. One might still run away tho if Jade's Lightning Thrust keeps failing.
@@IkemenDanshi yes i know...but my concern is, "it says only 30 minutes". So i ask, how can make you guarantee... Because, i has tried and need 2 hours more...hmm
@@fiktjen999 Mm-hm. I get that. So, firstly, if you're playing the Definitive Edition, you can double up the battle speed. So be sure to tweak that setting. Secondly, the focus of this video isn't just about using the Haullelujah + Electro Light combo, it's about copying the whole setting - the equipment, skill panel, targeting hammerhood only, etc. And one of the most important equipment you can't miss is a +3 Meteorite Bracer. You have to have Erik equip it.
When i saw that you put sylvando and erik on the same team the first thing that came to my mind was "my fellow dq fans i think we all know where this is going so lets just skip to the end"
The first time I did it I got 2 metal slimes and one liquid (all 3 viscous) but now it’s been 4 tries and I only get the machines. Please advise. For some context i just watched the first seedling near Angri-La and met with master pang.
Totally get what you mean! Metal hand grind used to be the go-to before the Definitive edition dropped cause back then battles took forever without any speed-up option and doing the Haullelujah + Electro Light combo used to take 10 minutes each time. So yeah rolling the dice finding metal hands seemed worth it. But now it's just 5 minutes so it's a whole new game.
do you know about duplicating ??? i knew about it when i was using a walkthrough for dragon quest 11, so i was able to make the pep pops from five to ten thanks to the happy adventure set, so i went from level 60+ to level 99 in less than 20 minutes
Yup. And actually, even without duplicating, if you decide to use the pep pops from your happy adventure set (which you should), it's a given that you'll take less than 20 minutes. But this vid is all about leveling up efficiently *without* using pep pops - exactly as the title says. Thanks for the share tho; I'm sure it's gonna help others out big time 👌
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I managed to KO three liquid metal slimes in one battle and I got about 80,000 XP which raised each of my team members by about four levels 😁👍
There is all so another way you just need to save your level up points panel at the start of act 1 and act 2 be for you manage to reach act 3 which is the true final boss
3:52 - Berserker's Blade has a 10% chance of giving Oomple effect when battle begins. (Weapon description in the game says "Oomph," but that's typo. It's actually Oomple.)
I really don't understand... I have the exact same set up as you 1st battle I get in 3 to 4 turns, no problem. It's just annoying when they cast bounce. 2nd Battle, Jade loses her vamp abilities on the turn the 2nd Boodica appears. So that gives me a choice to either use flashback or re-vamp. Then Boodica peps up and takes me out with a pep power. I also noticed that every time you attack with crushed ice, you get 1 crit every time... is that purely rng? or am I missing something? I've only been able to get passed the 2nd battle 1 time with this set up... then of course the one time I do get to the 3rd battle, while I do get the oomph, Erik misses nearly every throw with double down...
Hello there, thanks for watching. 1. "So that gives me a choice to either use flashback or re-vamp." - Always prioritize re-vamp. 2. "Then Boodica peps up and takes me out with a pep power." I've played the trial about 40 times with this setup, and just like you, that happened quite a bit. 3. "Is that purely RNG?" - Yep, RNG. No crits here (2:55), and even missed a hit here (3:18). 4. "Erik misses nearly every throw with double down..." - RNG, sadly. Keep trying, and I'm sure you'll beat the trial in no time 👍
Also, based on how you say there's a choice between re-vamping and using flashback, I'm getting a hint that you use re-vamp only once at the start. Am I correct? Use it twice; cause its effects stack.
Same, and this trail is just for switch is it? Because I have passed the final trail already but the secret trail did not appear and I am playing the game on PS4
If you need a step-by-step guide, check the pinned comment on this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YOdZ36KU5P0.html - the first few steps are a tad different from what's shown here (skills to learn, equipment, etc.), but the rest is more or less the same. Btw, to get Electro Light to spawn Vicious Metal Slimes that give massive EXP like in this video, you need to defeat Mordegon first and be in Act 3.
This is the farming method typically used by speedrunners. Outline: Once Rab & Jade join your party, use Haullelujah & Electro Light to start summoning Metal Slimes, knock 'em out cold, and net some huge EXP. Now of course, everyone's heard of this trick (so I'm not even gonna explain what those pep powers do). But the inside track is what sets it apart from the usual EXP grind videos you've seen: Here's the low-down: We're gonna switch to 2D mode. Trust me it's a whole lot faster than 3D farming: 1. First off, unlock "Metal Slash" for Luminary and "Metalicker" for Erik in the skill tree. And that'll unlock their "Metal Medley" pep power as well. For Jade, pack "Lighting Thrust." 2. Equip sword on Luminary and boomerang on Erik. (And spear on Serena - we're gonna use her once we hit around Lv. 30 when Electro Light starts summoning 3 Liquid Metal Slimes.) 3. Set the whole squad's Tactics to "Follow Orders." 4. Zoom over to Tickington Entrance, and head into Tickington. This will be our 'Hyperbolic Time Chamber.' Once you're in, enter Galenholm. 5. Before running into battles, make sure the Battle Speed is set to "Manual" or the battles will be extremely sluggish. Go to Misc. > System Settings > Battle Speed > Manual. 6. Use Crackshot Crossbow to start summoning monsters. Go to Items > Important Items > Crackshot Crossbow. 7. Now, when the mob is summoned, keep an eye out for Fromage Frays or Drackies. Stick around and start "defending" if they're in the mix. Otherwise, if there are just slimes, end the battle (either by fleeing or killing 'em all) and start a new one [example - see 9:58]. Why? 'Cause slimes run away sometimes, and if they all run mid-fight, we're screwed. Fromages and Drackies on the other hand, never run. 8. Keep defending 'til Luminary, Erik, and Jade pep up. Once they do, use Haulellujah. 9. Once Sylvando's pepped up, put him in the back row. Go to Line Up > Group > Select Luminary, Erik, Jade & anyone but Sylv. 10. Another round of defending till Luminary, Erik, and Jade pep up. And yep, Erik too, 'cause we're gonna use his "Metal Medley" pep power. 11. Once they're pepped up, bring Sylv back to the front row. Go to Line Up > Group > Select Luminary, Erik, Jade & Sylvando. 12. Time for Electro Light. Make sure Sylvando uses it - 'cause then we can immediately cue in Metal Slash, Metalicker, and Lightning Thrust. 13-A-i. If Electro summoned Metal Slimes, lucky you. Watch them being annihilated by Luminary, Erik, and Jade. For round two, let Erik drop the Metal Medley, and watch the straggler slimes bite the dust. (13-A-ii. Once we hit around level 30, Electro will start summoning three *Liquid* Metal Slimes. Metal Medley won't be enough to take care of the stragglers anymore - we're gonna need Serena's "Thunder Thrust." So unlock it in her skill tree. [Also get Jade's "5% pep chance increase" in her skill tree because why not.]) (13-B. If Electro summoned the unwelcome type of metals... check out 14:20 to see how to take care of 'em.) 14. Watch everyone level up. 15. Rinse & repeat steps 6 to 14. 16. Once you hit your level goal, bounce out of Tickington. Just keep in mind that in Act 1, this trick is only efficient up to around level 40. After that, better wait 'til Act 2 when Electro Light starts dishing out *Vicious* Metal Slimes which give better EXP. The farming method remains the same - just the kind of metal slimes Electro serves up changes, depending on the Act that you're in.
Additional note: I didn't do this in the video, but once Luminary hits level 35 and learns Kasnooze, you might as well start utilizing Rab+Luminary's pep power "Dirge of Dundrasil" to attempt to put the Liquids to sleep. (Only Rab needs to be peeped up btw.) This will pretty much ensure we get all 3 kills.
You wouldn't expect that, right? And from what I've read, apparently if you get everyone's atk to 999, the order of strongest physical attackers will become Erik > Hendrik > Rab > Veronica > Jade > Serena > Luminary > Sylvando.
@@greataether14 Mine I haven't maxed out Veronica's, Serena's, and Sylvando's. (And Rab). Cause ya it takes forever for each char right? Too lazy to go through the grind for each one honestly.
@@Savalior I completely agree man, still I think my last character to upgrade to 999 atk will be Jade, already did with Luminary, Erik and Hendrik, your 2 swords and gyrfalcon slash is a genius idea
How to get Elfin Elixirs? There's no easy way. (I) One method involves gambling, which I wouldn't recommend. (II) The other method requires you to complete the mini medal book (110 stamps) before you can use L'Academie Headmaster's Exchange Shop, where you can exchange 1 Elfin Elixir for every 3 medals. (III) Another method involves hunting Gigantes for their rare drop. They spawn at Hotto Steppe & Insula Incognita mid-game. If you're already in post-game, this method's no longer viable. I personally used the 2nd method.
Hey there! You gotta unlock the "Dual Wielding" panels in their skill trees: Luminary: bit.ly/43MqEjK - check out the purple panel. Erik: bit.ly/3YaJWy9 - under "Assassin's Stab" in light green. Sylv: bit.ly/43HKGvX - the bottom-most. Hendrik: bit.ly/4585RYY - yellow panel on the left. Hope this helps!
55 turns is actually quite good! Before I discovered the strategy shown here, my shortest was also 55 turns. Also, just by letting Sylvando die, you can significantly reduce the number of turns, so it's worth giving that a try!
@@Savalior actually i did the first battle in 3 turns, the last battle take a lot of turns, and sometimes the third battle the coralasseus uses forbearance and it takes some more turns to finish
@@marceloxavierdemelofilho359 Wait up! I thought you were playing in hard mode too. But seeing that you're not diggin' Coralossus's forbearance, does that mean you're rollin' in normal mode?
Hey there, thanks for checking out my video. While it's possible to use Hallelujah and Electro Light at level 20, to replicate the exact method shown here, you'll need certain items and skills like Meteorite Bracer, Critical Claim, and Ladies First. So instead, you might wanna try the method typically used by speedrunners, which you can see in this video at the 1:47:56 mark: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hf3LQEzpf4k.html - shout out to CreativeEly!
Hey there. I think you're talking about "Electro Light." And yep, there are some dungeons where Electro won't work. It's always good to keep that in mind when trying to use it.
