You shouldn't have an issue recording. I use a GoPro backpack mount and I carry around my camera and take photos and videos. I don't typically vlog a lot at the con itself, but I've seen people vlogging on sony's, gopro, dji osmo, cell phones, etc. The only place you can't use a camera or even a phone is in the celebrity section.
That Catwoman omnibus is awesome! And Darwyn was great on Parker and The Spirit and New Frontier. I love Byrne on man of steel and FF. I’m enjoying the vid! Great channel 👍🏻
Congratulations on your first omnibus thats so cool my first one was the the incredible hulk vol 1 the standard edition cover my favourite superhero is the incredible hulk and i hope you enjoy the omnibus 👍
@@huntercapone I would say volume 1 of X-Men. Phoenix you could start with it without reading anything beforehand but if you want to know more about the characters leading up to it I start with X-Men. Basically Phoenix is about the Jean Grey one but is a good start if you want to just read about her
In some ways Adventures 459 is a better ending issue in terms of what this Omnibus covers. I would imagine 460 would be include in the next volume. That volume would bridge the gap between the Exile Omnibus & The Triangle Era Omnibus. I think it’s a better move to just order the new one as that helps show DC the interest is there and if you would want that “gap” Omnibus, buying the new editions gives you (and us) a better chance at that becoming a reality.
Just read this comment... I have been watching ebay and one got listed late last night from a 100% seller at a great price and I put an offer and bought it. I feel bad now because your last sentence is really true. But I am definitely going to preorder the triangle vol 1, and may make a video about the Exile omnibus to hopefully sway others to buy the new edition. sigh.
@@huntercaponeA great price is a great price! Can’t go wrong there & you get the extra issue! Triangle Era Omni is definitely the one I am looking forward to the most! So much so that I did a video on what is included in it back when it got revealed! Absolutely love this era of Superman stories! Looking forward to hearing what you think of the Exile book!!
Thanks for sharing your experience! I find the Fan Expo events to really only be worth it if there are specific creators you are going to see. At least here at the Philly show (and it sounds like the same at Dallas) there are rarely many Comic dealers and no comic art dealers. I went for only a few hours on Friday this year to see Tom Grummett & Jonathan Glapion. Tom is one of my all time favorites and is a really nice guy! Ended up staying at his table for over an hour just chatting with him and his wife! That alone made the ticket worth it!
Glad to hear! Yep I'll probably not do more than 1 day at future Fan Expo events. There is a good 2-day show coming up soon with a big amount of turtles crew, including Kevin Eastman. Will probably go both days if I end up going.
It wasn't too bad. Friday and Saturday I did street parking. Sunday got lucky and parked in a city garage that wasn't being metered for some reason! but there are plenty of lots nearby, not part of the convention center. And being that it's a weekend during the day, they aren't too much. Saw one next to the convention center for $17 and I'm sure there were others between $10-25 which isn't bad for the whole day.
I know...would have been longer if I pulled out every issue. I felt like people might want to see some of the singles in the boxes. Next update, hopefully more changes but much shorter like sub 20 min.
Since you are reading the trades for past Superman series . If I were you I would just wait for the trades to come out and read them. The current run of Superman I hear is good. Probably will be cheaper to just wait for the trade.
That Flash Gordon was the one I absolutely had to have. I was able to snag a copy and I have already read it. Fabulous story. You’re going to love it!👍
Just realized the few at the end, Riverdale and Love and Rockets were from several years ago. My wife grabbed from the "previous years fcbd" section. And the batman was from 2021, not last year. =)
There were 9 on here I did not see at all: Max Meow, Romeo vs. Juliet, Adult Swim, Pop Eye, Far Cry, Asterik, Snoopy, Whispers from the Voyage, and Boom Box.
As a Supergirl fan, I'm biased in saying those issues were the best part of the haul. But that TMNT book was an absolute steal. I would've grabbed it too. Good books and shopping all around. Happy comic hunting!
That was a nice vlog, man. Good way to document your time at the con. Never been to Planet Comicon, so I've been checking for videos to see if other comic fans made any. Happy comic hunting!
Thanks I uploaded my Saturday POV also (not as good) and a comic panel from Sunday!! stay tuned I also have a good comic shopping video later this week from a big store.
That JLA Secret Files was one of my favorite things to collect back in the 90s, might put those on my list of wants. Great video though! That Con looked super chill, but still i bet super tiring with all the walking from booth to booth.
You should've gone to Eastman's Panel just to see if you could catch part of it. I know he was late getting to his panel, I was in his line that morning for signatures and he didn't leave until like 1:20 p.m.
I didn't look at the Manga. The ones that had it were the 50% off graphic novels and $1 bin issues. I can check next time I'm in---- I would guess not on anything regular priced or just a sale, but maybe if it's 50% or clearance.
