Lone Cairn, from Grenoble, France, have established themselves as worthy heirs to the classic rock and hard rock of the 70s & 80s with their critically acclaimed debut EP : Obsolete.
Leonardo (lead vocals/lyrics) and Guillaume (guitar/music) deliver a fluid and diverse music that relies on catchy airs, powerful choirs and melodic solos. Despite their classical influences, Lone Cairn will surprise you by blending various elements of progressive rock into their songs. As for the lyrics, they draw inspiration from both literature and everyday life. The unspoken is omnipresent, leaving room for interpretation.
Driven by their will to create, the duo works exclusively in the studio and will release two self-produced EPs this year : Music Of The Spheres, an ambitious progressive rock instrumental inspired by Dan Simmons' Hyperion Cantos, and Crossroads, the direct successor to Obsolete, which benefits from all the band's richness.
Tu tremble, carcasse? Tu tremblerais plus, si te sais ou je te porte. You’ll have to excuse a poor Californian for their spelling. ^ _ ^ Je tremble parce que j’attend trop tard!
Either the aenea moment as hard as it was, or siris rebellion/consuls tale (which I didn't come to like as much until finishing the series and rereading that part) The ep sounds great. some well written tunes.
