Great Job! I wish there was a way to turn white back like new... seems I seen something on a YT channel that someone did that worked . I think it was a channel that does the Tonka trucks....anyways.. great hammer.. I have yet to one of those in the wild... when I do..im gonna get it.. good stuff!! Great video as well!
Great cleanup of my favorite brand of hammer. I have some Estwing hammers, but have never seen a weight forward model. One of my hammers has the leather handle discs. I haven't seen Estwings with leather handle discs for some time which makes me wonder if they are no longer made. They used to be an Estwing trademark.
Great restoration. The original jaws looked like they were in very good condition, which suggests to me the vise may be relatively low mileage, or at least wasn't abused.
It never boring to see another fellow's shop. It is a great opportunity to pick up new ideas by seeing what others have done. Those are some very nice vices. Thanks for the tour. Good luck with your projects. 👍
Great to see ya! Not boring at all. Get those home chores done now while you have the good weather, Keep the wife happy. You got all winter to work in the garage. Congratulations on the 1k! Take care and we'll catch up later Brother.
Nice to see you back. I didn’t think the shop tour was boring but interesting. You let us know what’s been happening and thanks for that. Hope to see you back soon.
Great to see a video from you. I'm looking forward to seeing more updates on your shop as well as some restorations. You should do a video on attaching the belt attachment to your old Craftsman grinder and another showing how you put your welding table together. I know I'm speaking for a lot of us out there who would also enjoy seeing some restoration videos of furniture like that old dresser. You have a lot of cool videos laying around your shop that we would enjoy seeing.
I absolutely enjoy watching your vids. Your presentation is smooth, thorough and relaxing. I would love to see you restore an Estwing hatchet with a leather handle.😀
Very cool, i just found this same vise at a yard sale. Needless to say im about to do a restore project as well and i got plenty of knowledge from your restore! Appreciate it, im guessing you custom made the new sticker? Nice added touch 👍🏼
You are correct. The base for this series was optional and sold separately with only one lock nut. Made until about 1971. What is the diameter of the round base?
I enjoyed that, superb repair, another tool back in good usable condition …..I’ll subscribe, I have a channel with me mucking about with tools , take a look…🇬🇧😊
