That’s the easy part. This was about setting up ya machine so it’s safe and prevents cross contamination. Cartridges are pretty straight forward pop them in and twist. Then do the opposite to take them out.
Thank you for this! I just got out of my apprenticeship and bought my first machine (it’s a pen/wireless machine) and my mentor only had worked with a Kubin rotary, so I had no clue how to set up my new machine or zone. This helped me understand it while keeping cross contamination in mind! Very well done!!!! New subscriber achieved!
Haha nah it’s just what’s comfortable for me it can vary with every person. I do lots of big day sits with realsim and or dots so I need the extra cushioning or my fingers end up hurting a lot. It’s all about preference try it out and see what works best for you 🙏
Thanks for the advice I needed that video keep coming with more I appreciate it if you have any more tips on hand speed voltage to run it on what's the most popular votes to use for line and shading thank you for the help
Thanks for ya comment 🙏 been on a bit of a hiatus from RU-vid lol. Hopefully work on new videos again soon. Voltage depends on what machine ya using a machine with a 3.5 stroke to start with is always a good start. Doing realism ya want volts anywhere from 7-10.5 most popular cartridges these days are kwadron
@@dravenheart2444 bro that black hat your wearing in the video is the exact D from the Team Daiwa Fishing reel maker from Japan ! Daiwa Amd shimano are the two most popular brands in the world !! That’s a Daiwa hat !!
In the bio or description you should write down all the tools and equipment you need as well because some people cant make out your accent. Just a little advice for future videos.
@user-ph9ni1vi9b i understand him too, but im also a native english speaker. I can see how accents may be difficult for someone whose first language is different
Try that blue barrier protective film strech to the grip until it comes one body and u will see whats the better protection because the film sticks and protect so well
Yeah I used to do it that way but it’s really not hard to take you’re grip off and clean it properly. Been doing it for years and never had problems :) appreciate ya input though
I have the same Sol Nova unlimited 3.5, is it possible to do a beautiful line with this? Mine are crispy, I tried many voltages and hand speed but no way :(
Nope it’s a terrible machine to line with. Probably the worst machine I’ve used for lining but it does shade smooth. Even packing black with this machine is a stretch. I’d recommend a 4mm stroke or higher for lining anything. Especially using cartridges the membrane system creates a fair bit of resistance for a machine with a 3.5 stroke to pull a good line
Ayy thanks 🙏 how good is the midnight though. To bad the video got done for copyright cuz of the music so it doesn’t get shown in the algorithm 😂. Live and learn haha
Idk what your on about bruv but I been using this on the daily and they work pretty sure my work speaks for itself. But if you have any pointers on how you do yours would gladly hear them. Always open to how others do there’s :)
Hello tattoo Artist! I have bought a tattoo machine from dragonhawk (mast ancher) and it has a metalic disposible grip. Is it super necessary to buy autoclave or Dry heat machine, or is it posible to cleat it and wrap it properly with out getting in to trouble?
I would have to have a look at the set up as I’m not to familiar with that machine. Add me on Instagram draven_heart send me a dm and a few pictures and I’ll help as best I can :)
@@mikezaimisWhat was the outcome of this? I’ve wanted to get the same machine since it was recommended to me and am wondering about whether sterilization is possible without an autoclave before purchasing. Already made that mistake once before. 😢
Are you using the right size tubes for the needle ? As there all different sizes that could be a factor . Say if it’s a round 9 liner you need a tube for a round 9 liner. Also maybe try and put a slight bend in the needle in the middle so it sits flush against the tube and maybe a tighter rubber band. Hope that helps :)
how do I relate the different shades of gray with the differences in size (small/medium/large) of the caps, for example if I have to make a dark gray in a 17mm cap, but then I happen to make the same dark gray but in a 14mm cap, how do I do it? obviously the drops of black will not be the same, because the size of the cap changes. I'm probably stupid, but it's a question I've been asking myself for quite a while. thank you very much if you want to answer me
Nah I get exactly what you mean honestly I’ve never really thought to much about it cuz I only use the caps featured in the video I can’t be bothered using different sizes if it’s a big job I’ll just use two lots of the same mix instead of using bigger cups. But technically I’d still use the same method on different size caps 3/4 black 1/2 black , quarter black , then less then quarter black. Then when I’m tattooing I’d start using my lightest tone see how it comes out and how much I need to build it up then adjust from there. 90 percent of the time in most of my grey wash pieces on only really use black , and mostly the mid tone. Just build up my mid tone and make sure to whip it out smooth the other tones are just there if I need them really. You can do most pieces with a black and a mid tone just focus on technique , whipping and blending :)
I saw ur reply on another comment that u add more white for the darker tones to make it smoother but my point is that white will make the darker tones ligher this way the values will be all so close to each other adding white to a darker tone has the same effect of mixing it with distilled water it will lighten it thats my point
My step mum told me it’s a waste of time and not worth it even though I’ve tried getting an apprenticeship for 10 years with AP art under my belt and bee doing art since a young child
Thanks for the info, I heard grey wash under half to 25% falls out of the skin. Is that true? I mean it can’t be if you’re still using the lighter cups shown on this video. Also if you don’t fill the caps completely full of water then it won’t overflow when you add white ;) hahaa
100 percent not true. If it’s tattooed right it will stay :) just gotta find a mix that works for you and your own style this might work might not. Can always tweet this one also if it’s a little light for ya liking
Glad your back bro, beard game looking good ! Thank you for helping the tattoo community and those that want to learn and gain new techniques. Your a real one ☝️
I'm a coil man or if I feel like rotary I have a bishop V6 both clip cord, so I take a sandwich bag and snip off one corner and place the machine inside, then the grip through the cut corner and wrap the grip the same way you did here the thing I am guilty of is neglecting the clip cord sleeve
Non really besides just the freedom and not getting tangled in ya clip cord. 😂 but they are super expensive not really worth the buy unless ya hate ya clip cord that much lol. I still use non wireless machines
