No to both unfortunately lol. You're entiteled to monetizing ads only after 4000 watch hours on your content. And the Steve Fox video will come out maybe october or around then
For a great and obscure karate focused game, i reeeeaaally recommend you check out Karate Master 2: Knockdown blow. It's mostly based on the full contact style of Karate like Kyokushin and such, and it has great gameplay and great representation of the martial art. Very underratrd game.
@@MixedMartialAri you might be mixing it i think. Think of it as Karate carrer mode simulator, the artstyle of the game is remeniscent of old SNK arcade fighting games (Mainly Art of fighting). It even has old school chessy fg dialogue of the 90's, i super recommend.
May I suggest you check out the character Ed in street fighter 6 I don't know how much he holds up with this sort of analysis because he has literal magic psycho powers but I think it can still be fun
@@krown_of_G I've veen going over Ed's moveset in search for video ideas and I gotta say his boxing is well above average animation wise. Definitely a character I'll take a deeper look at later
Lol, are you finnish? I can hear it in your voice. Some finnish folk have a weird voice when they speak english.. id know, cuz i am finnish! Thankfully i got a good accent
@@badbreakingbadvideos Yes we're both finnish. It's fairly easy to spot a finn no matter how good their english might be and mine definitely isn't all that great
Frankly, the fact that Mac goes up against such absurd opposition (from professional soldiers and ruthless killers, to bizarre creatures and literal aliens, to foes wielding space-age tech or literal magic) with mostly traditional boxing moves and a few improvised spins on them is quite something to see! To me, there's a special appeal for fighters like Mac and Marth that can accomplish a lot in battle with sheer mastery of a very limited toolset.
@@idkwhothisis-uv8tq There are some strikes that could be considered jumping punches that are perfectly legal and frequently used in boxing though like the Gazelle Punch used by people like Floyd Patterson
This is really tame when you consider other Punch-Out!! Boxers doing way crazier shit. Aran Ryan's Headbutts and Elbow strikes, Soda Popinski using performance enhancing "drugs", Great Tiger's actual magic, and Donkey Kong being Donkey Kong, among other things. (Yes these examples are from the Wii game, It's the best one)
@@seanobrienplays688 I did touch up on that in my previous punch out video. It's pretty impressive that Mac could win those kinds of lunatics with just 9 moves
Don't forget that Aran Ryan loads a boxing glove with horseshoes and _uses it as a makeshift *flail*_. The officials clearly just like him enough to keep him in the circuit.
great video! Two things worth mentioning, is that while you can hold the smash attacks, you don't have to, you can release them instantly, so they're slower than the rest of the attacks, but they pack more of a punch (no pun intended) and launch people pretty far. And also, Mac's air attacks are intentionally designed to be bad (while still making him a functional character gameplay wise) bc, at the end of the day, he is a boxer. He's supposed to play things as grounded as possible, like Doc Louis said in his reveal trailer, he ain't an air fighter.
@@Nyanlathonep Exactly the reason I didn't really consider the air moves that harshly in the end evaluation. You wouldn't try jumping in boxing anyway. But your point on the smashes is valid. I just don't like that you can hold them at all
I'm glad you love how he is animated, but it's too bad the NA smash community hates him so badly because he has noob killer moves while also not being super tournament viable. I don't know why he has armor on smash attacks, but I'd only keep that on neutral b and give him more ways to combo his punches into each other because his hitstun in that sense is non-existent. I know he can be even better if they just gave him a bit more actual care, but hey... he won a Japan tournament recently so I feel like he is very close to greatness.
4:05 for reference, a Heavy machine gun (on the low end) has a fire rate of 450 rounds per minute. Or 7.5 rounds per second. Little Mac’s hands are just really big caliber bullets.
As a Mac Main I feel I must say in his defense, his aerial attacks are so bad Mac almost never leaves the ground except for jolt haymaker, rising uppercut, and KO punch.
@@DJCosmas To be fair. It's almost impossible to make boxing look in any way competent in mid air so it's kinda fitting that he looks like he doesn't know what he's doing up there. Since it's necessary to give him some kind of aerial moves, these are pretty much the best you could get.
I'm only 2 minutes into the video but such a great idea that people don't really explore much on the internet, also since you're an ippo fan. Reviewing and rating or maybe putting certain ippo fighters in irl weight divisions could be fun
@@GabrielBorica I appreciate it. Since I'm a dummy myself I try to make things easily understandable. Haven't played god of war 4 myself but I do have a couple friends who could get me the footage so I'll add it to the list of possible video ideas!
Honestly I never thought we would have to discuss Little Mac transforming and how that goes with the rules I couldn't find anything about changing mid fight. Maybe its airbud logic, "aint nothin in the rules about changing your form" The closest I can think of is Haruo from kengan ashura (which is a great series you might want to cover with Gaolong!)
@@cyruscrompton8221 Kengan Omega is genuinely one of the best on-going martial arts mangas out there! I'm not sure I have anything to say about Gaolang that hasn't already been said in the manga itself but might give it a shot at some point when talking about martial arts depictions in manga in general
