As long as you are confident in the spot during the day, I am sure you will hook onto some squid at night. Just make sure to fish the incoming/high/partial of the out going tide. I like to target squid when there’s little to no moonlight (this is where your glow in the dark or egis with a rattle will get the most hits)
Hopefully I can find the time to try the salt pond this year. Will also be trying a cast or two at the Oyster Pond Marina which was damaged by the hurricane back in 2017 (French side of the island). Hopefully there’s a snook or tarpon for me to catch haha
I was using a light jigging outfit when I caught this fish When we gaffed the fish we realised my splitting was open (my terminal tackle was not rated for fish this size). The metal jig I was using was 60grams with a wire through assist hook on the top of the jig.
sick video the latest videos have been so good im honestly u suprised u arent at 100k subscribers because the quality is always so good luck for the next ones i cant wait
Yeah man! It’s taken a beating offshore and still held up well! After fishing this rod for a while I believe pairing it with a 8k size spinning reel would be best though!
Hi, Thanks for this video...I will be travelling to Ho Chin minh city this month end and wanted to visit this place. Wanted to know if we should take the tackles with us or they will provide?
Hi hi, you’ll need to bring your own tackle as they don’t have any at the pond itself. Food and drinks are sold at the pond though! My advice would also be to book your own personal driver to bring you to pond and stay there until you are done fishing and to drop you back to your hotel area. Much easier that way!
You need to book your slot in advance, it’s $450rm for the booking which you pay upon arrival. You can fish 4 rods for that price bait is included and extra bait can be purchased
For the boat charter + accommodation it was $4300RM which was split 6 ways. Transport per person was $142SGD. Then other costs such as food, drinks and snacks were split equally as well
Prawning really can get fishes too? How it hook anyway right it's lobster then enters mouth hard to believe will imagine people inside lying flat anyway, maybe it's a 2 wire, 1 is to clipper and carry, the real prawning?
When this pond was open they had a pond with yabbies and haruan, we used the same hook as you would on a regular prawning rod. There’s a prawning pond in AMK area that has lobsters and fish too I think
