My dad is fine with it, but my mom is scared of hamsters. So I’m trying to convince her that she wouldn’t even have to go near it, that’d Id keep it in the downstairs area (where she rarely goes) and I’ll even start doing all the chores that require her going downstairs (laundry, vacuuming) so any tips on how to convince her?

Well i have been trying to convience my parents to get me a hamster for 2 years now. What i did is that each day i told them a fact about hamsters and i also wrote them a 3 paragraph essay about them. Then one day i asked them to go to the pet shop to just look at the hamsters. After we got there my parents said that i can get one. I am getting a roborovski male hamster i 2 weeks😁❤❤❤ i can not wait

We got a hamster from a pet store for free once. He had been there for a while and no one wanted him because he had this thing on his neck, like a big pink mole. If I remember correctly he was in for a grim fate before much longer (it's been like 15 years or something). 😕 Of course once we heard his story we would have taken him home even if we had to pay, but they just gave him to us. He lived for a good 2 years, dunno how old he was when we got him. Sweet little guy, too! ☺
My Syrian female hamster is inside a 40 gallon reptile tank with front door and she keeps chewing the plastic part. She got chew toys Apple sticks and she still does it

I know this is an old video, but I want to add some much needed education. Hairless hamsters are no more prone to health issues than furred hamsters. They don't require any special bedding or special care. The only thing is they're more susceptible to drastic temperature changes, so they need to be kept away from strong drafts, intense cold, and intense heat. They also don't have shorter lifespans by any means. I have personally met several that are over 3 years old. Yes, it is true that females don't produce milk, so the only way to breed them is to breed a hairless male or carrier to a female carrier and keep or PET HOME any female hairless offspring. I know there's been a lot of negativity toward the gene in recent years, but it's really not necessary as their health, quality of life, and lifespan are not much different from furred hamsters.
Is this cage easy to clean? Didn’t notice it had any doors to make it easier to clean instead of having to bend over. I looking for a cage for when I get a hamster for my daughter.
They used to do that take them out and let you hold them before you buy it but now you have to buy it in order to hold them they won’t let you hold any animal that they have
