This movie was our family favorite when we were kids. Bonnie wasn't the best singer, but she seemed genuine in her film role. Garibaldi, on the other hand, was fantastic! His song TheCurse still gets stuck in my head. I can NOT hit that note at the end, but since i still get the song stuck in my ear 30 years later, it must've been good. Lastly, the farmer's song about his pigs makes me giggle for some reason. I sing it to my little sister when we're being goofy. "I loooove dem pigs, i love dem pigs so muuuuuch! I love dem swine. They is divine...". 😍. I'm a weirdo.
2024 and this is still my favorite musical. I've watched this a lot since I was a little girl. I'm about to be 37 now. I'm thankful my parents introduced me to this as a kid.
You have no idea the souls that help a composer/singer truly KNOW the song/words felt the night before singing (especially when her instructor died that night) when song originally in latin this was absolutely beautifully heard with echos of voices/felt through her at that moment. ❤
My baysitter first showed this film to me when I was 7 years old in 2008, and I asked my babysitter to watch it with me every time I came over. This film NEVER EVER gets old, I'm always enthusiastic to watch it again even though I've seen it 7 times already.
You could wear this to "someone else's wedding or on a Saturday night home alone!" The hefty hooker shoe 👟 👠 collection or Heavy Slumbers PJ collection....thunder leg and CANKLE!! 😂
To anyone who thinks this is funny, ask yourself if it would still be funny if they were making fun of Black people, or Jews, or gays, or poor people, or ugly people, or whatever disadvantaged group that you belong to, would it still be funny? Probably not. That should be a clue that this is not funny.
