Having know of and interacted with LiDAR since it required a small plane to carry its incredible seeing how the technology has improved so dramatically. LiDAR is going to forever change the automotive, UAV, and manufacturing industries
It is in our nature to explore. This is why men built boats, cars, airplanes, and of course spaceships themselves. It is in our nature (and maybe in our DNA) the desire for exploration. But with these desires come new needs and (it's not just fancy airship rides for fun). Many things, however, are needed to allow us to keep exploring, and David Hall will be bring answers- one of which is speed. Hall will focus on the needs of others and do so at a rate not yet heard. Hall is going to usher in a new, and realistic, Era in which not just pizzas are delivered. It will be fast and it will be safe. I have 100 percent belief that this undertaking will make him a household name.

Sounds like Velodyne is not scalable. Spend all that effort to help someone build their business and all you get is to sell a few scanner and they get to sell a system!
It doesn't matter if you have the golden key if you can't execute and deliver you worth nothing. You move in snails pace, technology can't just sit on the shelf. By the time you are done it's OLD tech! Wake up
Amazing work. How did the scan penetrate to see the inner structure? Is the exterior porous? I can't see any mention on the ZEB website of using radar. It seems to be purely LIDAR + photogrametry.
Come on. Tesla's AEB is definitely not the best out there. But still, that is production. That Civic with lidar is dev. Not even comparing apple to apple.
It would be nice if velodyne can beat earnings expectations this Thursday. We as share holders have suffered a 70% loss so far. How about you guys throw us a bone every once in awhile.
That's great but, your stock is 70% down. You have no ceo, there's insider selling and you earnings report come out Thursday and your expected to fall short. Can your company please get it together and help out your investors for once?!?!
