No crazy mods in term of power - Stock power with Fab9 N1 tune & GRW SSST muffler. I am running MeisterR CDR Zeta coilover with RT660 tires. Gloc R12 brake pads. Also started using Verus diffuser, canards, & rear suspension covers.
I live up in Northeast Tennessee and usually end up on the Snake with my Z due to its close proximity to home. I am relatively new to the area and haven't made my way down to the Dragon yet. Appreciate the video!
really sick drive but really bad idea to cross double yellows to apex corners when theyre blind corners and youve seen that theres oncoming traffic....
I spun my G Prod ALFA Guilietta in the same spot at my second Driver’s School race. Didn’t go off course but went down the short chute center track, BACKWARDS, clutch in, blipping the gas! Came to a stop before 2, both hands in the air to show other drivers that I wasn’t controlling the car, just like I was told by my instructor. My instructor came up to me post race and said, “Nice save, Rick, but you’re supposed to raise both arms only AFTER you come to a complete stop!” It was a Chicago Region D.S., think it was 1973 and Tito still owned the track! Took a few races to live that down!
The guy on that 3-wheeler shomethingrather at 2 minutes has a lot of driving enjoyment on this road. Sitting constantly perpendicular to the road.... :-)
It’s US129. The tail of dragon is at the border of NC and TN but almost all of fast and fun section is on the TN side. There are alot of good road in that whole area.

I drove from Florida In my Miata just to drive this road a few times......it was great and an experience that I will never forget....I live in Washington state now and there are endless mountain roads to rip on..... seriously thinking about buying a ND2 Miata.....I'm very close to doing it in fear the miata might be lost forever and Miata is the best most fun car that ive ever driven hands down.. people made fun of me for driving it and before i owned a miata i used to make fun of the owners. It's the most underrated sports car in the world and I'd you know how to drive it can out perform most I stand by that....I ended up blowing my motor in my na and put a ls1 motor in my Miata 30k later it was a unstoppable monster....sold it to move across the country. My next move is another miata
Im assuming you're using a goPro here. What settings are you using so that it doesn't auto pan back and forth as you make the turns. Nice video btw. Relaxing......
@@denzillion Awesome!!! Thanks for the prompt reply. I have a Miata as well and like to make videos like yours. Nice to sit back and watch the road go by when not driving.
Yes. It’s Cravenspeed SS. Compare to stock, it gives you shorter throws but not that much different to be honest. The major difference is how the shifts feel more mechanical. The shifter also makes more NVH (whining noises especially) and some can’t deal with it.
