@@paralifeppg Oddly, we had a strange noise from the clutch on shut down and just replaced it this week,,,,,clutch was ok I guess, but one of it’s 3 bearings had trashed itself,,,
Yup, couldnt get above 6500 rpm on the cosmos which usuall flies 7550 ish WOT,,,set it down at launch point and figured out a bad fuel connector too late for morning flight,,,
I didn't see it in your latest videos so I was curious. How do you like the Cyclone? I was thinking of getting the 34 so I could tandem and solo it. My buddies think I should get the 38 and just keep the one I have for solo flights.@@keithgrey
I have a 2014 VV. Just bought it and the first ride after getting it home, I had a "slippage" event. What did your bike do in order for you to go to this extent in repairs? Did you avoid fluid spillage by tipping/leaning the bike over? Thanks for the video. Marc
The clutch improvements were to track holding power with the HP/TQ boosts I got from cams/intake/exhaust/tuner upgrades. Yes, you can leave the oil in the sump and do clutch side work if it is a VV on its TO points, no leakage. Just FYI, the only issue I ever had with the original clutch was semi-synth oil use based. This is controversial since only about 50% of these heavier VV or XC bikes develop slippage with semi-synth. If you are using It i say go to straight dinosaur oil. Sorry for the slow reply.
Not sure what bike you plan to work on but I have a 2013 Victory Judge, and I made my own compression tool and found out that 1/2 " bolt will not fit through the clutch lifter hole. So I had to go back and get a 3/8" to make it work properly.
hi my victory 92 vsr has a problem and is , 1st gear doesnt engage is impossible , all the other gears engage very easy , do you know where could it be the problem
The washer as an axial thrus spacer on the shifter shaft was genius! The stronger spring and better bearing on the tension arm makes gear shifts more positive, but not really worth the cost. I thought a side benefit would be an easy to find Neutral, but I guess the barnett spring and plates eliminated that possibility.
Backbone spilt where you see the screw driver holding it open at about 40sec or so, which lifts the air box high enough to slip the old carriers out. With Lloydz new DR (direct replacement) cams the carrier doesn't need replace.
Nope. They are just a bit anemic to meet EPA requirements. Lloyd Greer could tell you the Lift and duration specifics on the Delta between his Cams and stock, but it is money well spent if you want a cooler, more powerful, Victory 106/6. KG
Then Lloydz IAV, HOH-VM1 Cams, VFC-III, Thundersticks, Hi Flo Inlet and top filters. 113/116 HP/TQ Now: HOH-VM1-DR Cams, PC-V, IAV, Timing Gear, New top filter w/ Venturis 123/125 HP/TQ
Keith Grey That's awesome bro!!! Very impressive numbers. I'm finally getting my VM1 cams installed on my13' XC this weekend. I have D&D pipes, Lloyds filter, ATG, IAV, PC5 and Auto-Tune since I don't have a Lloyd, Kyle, Rylan, or Kevin anywhere near Oregon. I doubt I can achieve those numbers. But I suspect I will get around 105hp, 112 ft. lb's of Tq. What is this Venturis your talking about?
my mission is to make those who spent $30k + on a CVO, then added $5k in performance mods regret their smirk when they roll up next to me. Its a tough job, but after 29yrs HD I usually can tell the posers from the riders. Thanks for asking. You ride Vic?HD?GW?
Keith Grey I ride a Victory Cross Country. Just extended my Rev Limiter on my Power Commander 5 tonight. And man being able to hit 6k rpm's in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears is amazing. 2 days until I get the VM1 cams installed with the 1/4 throttle ring. I'll be popping wheelis in no time. Ide love to pull up next to a sooped up HD. Bring IT. LOL Sounds like we think a lot alike.
It can, but I tend toward full helmets with music playing on long trips. It bothers me more on days when I'm wearing a small helmet and just going a short distance. As I get older I find myself liking my ride quieter.
