Rinse first. after spraying your wheel cleaner product wait the appropriate time the directions suggests. Repete cleaning the tire till you can only see white foam coming out from the product while scrubbing. Use different size brushes to detail inside the wheels spokes. And I personally like to use a mitt glove to clean the back of the spokes. Because when you drive off even if you properly cleaned your wheel it will get dirty fast because you forgot to clean the back of the spokes. And detail wheel lugs. Also clean the caliper that's where all of your brake dust comes from
yes all ford focus ST’s(Sports technologies)are turbocharged then you got the focus SE thats basically the base model none turbo and lastly well the (RS) basically the better ST

I think its either checking for ignition aka spark plug or compression since the gas i being able to stay inside due to the pistons working? Not sure. And im absolutely no car guy neither did i ever stand infront of a car doing anything to repair it. Never had these experiences. Just guessing based on plausibility.
