During this first filming of FAST series, we filmed a more documentary style where ET's were not part of the process on a consistent basis. However, due to the overwhelming negative remarks about not including the ET's all future filming of the FAST series is filmed differently where ET's are clearly seen. We hope to be there this season in just a few weeks to film again.
This must be the first video this person has ever done ever in life I wish you well but this has to be the worst video I've ever seen in my 47 years of drag racing standing behind golf carts and panning to the staging lanes at people instead of videoing the cars running maybe your doing a documentary good luck😊
The times were not recorded at this event..We were filming more about the cars and the drivers..BUT..we are back this Spring at the same event, and we will have a dedicated filming camera that will show the times of each race...
Number one priority is to get the complete pass and the results at the end of the race on the scoreboards for both lanes, oftentimes the cameraman was fixated on getting back to the starting line to watch a burnout, burnout are insignificant
Well, if you were the cameraman, and were paid to film what you did, then you would understand why it was filmed in the fashion that it was. We will be back this year for the 2023 event, and you folks who want times..well, your gonna get your fill...CHEERS
Let me explain this for about the 20th time now here in the comments section. This film was not about the runs down the track. It was about the cars and a view sometimes not seen by race fans..BUT have no fear, for all you ET Freaks..we are coming back again this year to film the Saturday portion of the event..and you will have your fill of ET's...stay tuned
Just watched the first 10 minutes and saw an et time..what's really LAME, is people who just want to bash someones work for no good reason at all. Maybe you should invest $10k into camera equipment and film it yourself.
The video and the cars were great but the venue suffers from the nearsighted track manager Jason Peterson. He is so difficult to work with from a racer standpoint I would never do business with him again.
I used the Sony A7RII and the native 85 MM Sony 2.8 Lens. I also Used the Rokinon 35MM Auto Focus, but it didnt cooperate very well. The new Rokinon Lenses do much better at auto focus now when mated to the native Sony Cameras. The Rokinon 35 and 50 MM are 1.4 and are awesome low light lenses. The illumination of the track through LED lighting was abig plus too for the night shots.. Had the camera on a DJI Gimble, the DJI-S..about $400 new now or less.

Living where I do, I've seen most of these cars driven on the street - the ones that get street driven - and you'd NEVER guess these cars are as quick/fast as they are.
Our filming style is designed to give the drivers of the cars more exposure and their crews. This year at both the Northern Nationals and the Funny Car Nationals we will be filming from the front to the back as they pass with more times revealed.
This one was shot with a Sony FS100 and a zoom lens 55-210MM and also the Sony A7sII on a gimbal. The new funny car video was shot in 4k with the Sony A7RII. I will be back again this year to shoot with 2-3 more camera views and special effects.
Keep practicing you will get the art of filming races. #1 most important thing in drag racing is the times and speed. And not just of the cars you like.

One of the best drag racing videos I've seen,epic in every way imaginable,the quality was unreal...except for one thing - that musical interlude was not needed. This is my opinion only,but that had to be one of the worst cover versions I've ever heard,and if you had to put music in it,there's many better bands to choose than that one - it wasn't great,sorry,just my opinion,and I've been in and around the music scene since the mid 70s. As for the drag racing coverage,it puts anything Fox or ESPN ever put out
The band Liliac is a gothic hard metal 70's cover band and the young people are really talented..they have a following that numbers in the hundreds of thousands.
