It's really a matter of how patient are you honestly once you've gone through a couple ng+ especially at +7 its not all that difficult to farm a character up to max level if you were so inclined iv done it in every game since demons souls and I'm working on it for elden ring I'm about...eh level 6/700 ish range took a few months but it's just a side hobby I wouldn't recommend anyone doing this themselves unless your that curious to see what a max character is like
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 cant really say more. One question tho: Is flame art just basically worse than just the flame infusion cuz fire damage scales with strength and not faith?
The fire damage on flame art will actually scale with faith, so which one is better depends on the weapon and your build; whether you’re leveling str or faith.
@@TheGhostInitiative But in general it would be better to have a strength build with a fire weapon right? Because you have the fire affinity which scales with strength and the fire damage that scales with strength
It honestly still just depends on your build and what you're trying to accomplish. Typically you'll get more fire damage per faith level with flame art than you would get from strength with fire affinity. Since strength benefits both your physical and fire damage with fire affinity, it's kind of a win/win every time you level up strength, so to compensate for the fact that faith doesn't increase your physical damage, flame art gives a lot more fire damage when you level faith. Fire weapons tend to be pretty evenly split between physical and fire damage, but flame art weapons tend to be mostly fire damage assuming you're putting a lot of levels into faith. Is fire still better in general? Probably. If the enemy you're fighting is weak to fire, then flame art would actually be better because you're specializing in fire damage. If the enemy is not explicitly weak to fire damage, then the fire affinity would be better because you have more physical damage to compensate for that. You won't really find anything that is super resistant to physical damage though, so having more physical damage with the fire affinity will usually be better overall. You can kind of think of fire affinity as the halfway point between pure physical damage and pure fire damage. You sacrifice some physical damage in exchange for being stronger against things that are weak to fire. With flame art, you sacrifice a ton of physical damage in exchange for being really strong against things that are weak to fire.
This is brilliant! I've been a fairly casual player up to this point, but I want to get a better understanding of these kinds of details ahead of the DLC. I'm definitely saving this video and my screenshots.
I found mine with vile maggot already 😢 Let him kill me, to get me more time. And than understood that i can only do 1 thing from that point,, and one thing only. So i stopped his suffering. Thanks for the clip tho, will try to save him in the new game +
I just wanted to take the time to say I appreciate the time it must have taken to prep & make this video. And you did so very well. You sir, are a Legend.
The Level stat actually does matter a lot. It determines the amount of runes required to upgrade the stats again. I don't know the formula, but after the first few levels it starts getting expensive, and when you're over level 100 it starts getting extremely expensive
Thanks for this! I blew off everything after i fell off into a watery grave. Second run i just sniped with arrows and ran for the fog gate. To hell with da loot! 🍻
Caught up recently and just wanted to say this series has been great! Your commentary makes playing through the game a lot of fun. My only suggestion is regarding routing - could you display the map and set some markers for the next few objectives? Even if you remove them afterwards it would help with playing along. I constantly get lost if I'm looking away from the video while you're pathing 😅
Yeah I will definitely try. I have been meaning to be better about incorporating the map, I know exactly what you mean with getting lost when you look away.
Currently level 46 and started playing like 2 weeks ago. I’ve never played a game like this before so trying to understand how it works is exactly what I knew I needed to do and you’ve made that happen! Excited for the walkthrough bc now I won’t miss anything! Thanks bro great content right here.
I’ve done some testing and it appears the damage of your AoW is actually stronger if the weapon affinity matches the AoW’s native scaling and not actually based on the weapon damage itself. Obviously this wouldn’t be true for AoW like lions claw where you physically strike the target with your weapon but beast roar does the exact same damage with an Estoc as it does with a dagger and is only decreased by changing from keen to a different affinity. I also tested the estoc with the lightning infusion giving it a higher ar and the beast roar still dealt less damage.
I watched the whole video, and I didn't hear if ashes of war could go on all weapons or not? Or do you have a video explaining how that works appreciate it
Ashes of war can go on any non-unique weapon aka weapons reinforced with standard smithing stones. On the individual ash of war in-game you can find the types of weapons they can be equipped to in the item description
i did this unintentionally, just tried to run away from him as he was taking little to no damage, after noticing the fog i started hitting him for fun and his hp bar just randomly melted lmao
I've seen people saying to do Redmane Castle before Ranni's questline because it triggers the festival. Has this been changed or are you planning to fight Radahn before clearing the castle? Anyway thanks for the videos, they are very helpful
If you go to altus plateau or progress Ranni’s quest up to a point, it will trigger the festival and all of the enemies in the castle disappear, but they all come back when you defeat radahn so it is up to you whether to clear it before or after, makes no difference. I don’t have my notes handy so I can’t remember which order I decided to do it but feel free to tackle it whenever
1:10:06 What?! That works?! I've spent three hours fighting that bastard on my two saves, and you can cheese him that easily?! Well thanks for that now.😅
False title, you're not crafting the perfect build, you're not even making A build, you're explaining how to minmax. You can minmax Sacred Seal physical damage. It's not the perfect build, it's the worst build. Call this video what it is, it is an in-depth minmaxing guide. And at that point, this video is fully worthless. This isn't a math game. It doesn't even tell you a third of the numbers. It doesn't even let you test the numbers with any kind of feasibility. Normal games are supposed to goddamn function, and function well, and not fail because of their own extremely poorly thought number mechanics. If you seriously need to not just minmax, BUT MAXIMALLY MINMAX, either you are A) making possibly one of the stupidest builds in the game for a laugh and suffering in the process, or B) you're a sociopath with no life, or C) a very depressed man with somehow nothing better to do. Refer to the suggestions below. For case: A) Don't worry too much about it, a longer video isn't worth dozens of sad hours of your life. Just post what you've accomplished probably on a seperate channel or something so it doesn't affect your unstable and frail recommendations, and move on. B) You already know you must go to therapy. Stop throwing a tantrum and go. C) Please try to interact with communities to develop social skills, friendships, and new hobbies, they will all help you a lot. Don't let toxic people confuse your attempts at developing social skills, the average person, even internet person, has a handful or dozens of behavioral, toxic problems. You may get attention but it doesn't necessarily mean you're making the community better or healthier. Work towards being socially compatible. If you get along with 1 or 2 people but literally repulse everybody else (silently or explicitly), or specific people that were active a literal second ago, that's no good.
