It's interesting to hear an opposing fans opinion on the schedule. Buffalo definitely has Miami circled as well. You guys have been playing us harder every year. I'd argue we have the harder schedule. The week 2 game for us starts a brutal stretch. We follow you with mnf against Jacksonville, then SNF at Baltimore, then at Houston and then at Jets to see how much they improved. The one advantage of Miamis schedule is that as 2nd in the division, you don't have to play all 4 participants from last year's championship games like we do :( Frankly, I have an issue with Miamis "homefield advantage" and it's pretty clear the NFL does too seeing this schedule. It's one thing for there to be a weather advantage in terms of acclimation. Buffalo, green Bay and KC clearly have an edge in December and January over southern and dome teams just due to living and practicing in the cold. Denver gets a kicking advantage because they train in the thin air. However, the NFL has cracked down for decades on teams using weather to impact just one team in the stadium. Their policy has always been that stadium conditions, aside from noise, need to be pretty similar for both teams. Buffalo famously had to retrofit their stadium when it was first built because opening certain doors in the tunnel could calm or increase the wind at one end of the stadium, impacting a single team. Similarly, dome teams can't open and close the roof during the game to impact one team or another. What Miami has done is create a stadium where one sideline is up to 30 degrees warmer than the other. It's clearly meant to impact only one team. It's especially problematic when you consider the health risks associated with heat sickness. So, if both sidelines were suffering and Miami was just more acclimated, it wouldn't be a competitive issue. But impacting only one side is a big deal. I'd be interested if it impacts Miamis ability to host superbowls in the future. The superbowl is supposed to be a true neutral site, and there's not guaranteeing that one team isn't going to get the short stick I'm predicting 12-5 for the Bills. I think the new receiving core struggles at times in big moments, but I think we saw in the second half of last year that a Bills team that runs the rock and spreads the ball out more is a more dangerous team. I have us dropping games to Baltimore, splitting with the jets, losing to Detroit and losing two dumb games against indy and the Texans. There's just something about the way Miami and Buffalo have matched up that gives an edge to Buffalo. If anything is going to change that, it's going to be the massive rework of Buffalo secondary this Offseason allowing hill and waddle more room to work. But McDermott defense has always been more about brains in the secondary over ability so I'm confident the new pieces slot in The Bills schedule release video was meant to be a bit like from parks and rec or the office. Josh Allen famously loves those kind of shows and has been compared to Andy Dwyer. So he's acting like he's living in the construction pit
The part about the Super Bowl won’t be a problem since it’s played at night so no affect on either participating teams in future superbowl bowls in Miami. Dolphins definitely lucked out by not winning the division to set up their strength of schedule to be lesser than it possibly could’ve been had they won the AFC East last year. Tough start to their schedule should lighten up in December. Yeah for the schedule release I mostly skipped through it and saw nothing visually on it so it left me confused. Also had the audio off so that didn’t help haha. Best of luck this season!
Depth was the biggest downfall last year. There is a big difference in depth and quality depth. They have the talented depth this year. One more key move that hopefully happens, that makes them elite. Get odell sign, so those other WR rookies can develop and at the same time, make the offense potten. 305
Fun Fact, Penn State vs Ohio St, Dolphins undrafted rookie Guard they sign, put Choop out the game in the second half at the 10:05 mark with brick wall block, he never return to the game.
We had to get a DE that fit the Van Ginkel mold because we already have the Turner type in Chubb and the Latu type in Phillips,. It was the Perfect pick if you can't draft Down because the O-Line options remaining weren't good enough to Draft before #25~
Some big gambles were taken on some of the picks without a doubt. Now it's up to the coaching staff to get them in the proper techniques and help develop them into NFL players.
Who says Paul won't be a starter by some point in the season given Armstead's recent injury history? Or that we add free agent veterans that are still available? Chop is definitely going to be in the rotation and once Chubb and Phillips are at full strength hopefully he had made enough plays to keep him on the field more.
Every greenhorn of his fans team always wins the draft, but they never win the Super Bowl. It’s just like a broken record. Channing Tindall was the steel of the draft two years ago. Guy can’t even get on the field.
Definitely has a point but the development should be there to step into a bigger role this season. Hopefully Patrick McMorris, Tahj Washington, and Patrick Paul will take some time to develop behind veterans while I expect Chop, Kamara, Wright, and Malik Washington to be immediate contributors.
No. Dolfins lost too many good players. When fins lost to Titans in Miami last year, that told me at that point they were going to lose the division even though they were two games ahead of Buffalo late in the season. Tua is not a franchise qb. He's fun to watch, when he's plays well. Next season does not look good.
It would be if they don't sign tua to anything more than a glorified 1 year contract. Honestly why not go after Dak . Dallas looks like they are trying to move on. Say what you will about him but he was solid this year and that offensive scheme with the weapons on the outside is elite. Tua is okay but when the weather gets bad you can see his accuracy take a dip and Tyreek getting close to retiring
Memories are short. No one remembers our 20/30 yrs of heartbreak and disappointment. It is OUR time! GO. C H I E F S!!! All aboard. We are taking the ship!!!! #ChiefsKingdom
Wow Josh Allen is nothing but terrible in the playoffs😂 you can tell you don’t watch football. He’s 4-4 291 ypg 17 tds 4 int rating 99.6 but yeah he’s terrible. Lost to Texans with Deshaun on year 2 lost to Mahomes in AFC Championship games lost to Mahomes again in divisional round and then lost to Burrow in divisional round. Your analytics are a little off bud.
Dolphins are 0-10 in their last 10 games under 40 degrees, not to mention the extremely injured defense. I still don’t understand why anyone would go with the dolphins here
Cause I’m dumb and biased 😂🤡🫡 but in all honesty it’s gonna come down to who can run the ball better and I like our odds in that scenario. McDaniel got away from the running game against the bills and it cost them the division. I hope he doesn’t make the same mistake 2 games in a row. Especially in these harsh conditions.
McDaniel holds a lot blame on this loss and tua. Need to play better and better coaching. And the defense was dog shit. Only one that showed up was sieler
