We had to laugh watching this video! I'm a 70+yr old guy who makes dumplings once in a while. I don't feel so bad about the quality of mine anymore. My mom used to make them. I'm the only one left that knows how to make them now. First I noticed your dough was too wet. There is no reason to put the dough in a blender. After you let it rise I saw that there was still dry flour in the dough. Then you still didn't knead it enough to mix in the flour and shape it so it didn't fall apart. Your boiling process seemed alright considering that they were falling apart. My mom always said to cook them covered "no peeking" except to flip them, otherwise you end up with "summer snowballs." I give you a thumbs up as an E for effort. I'd consider your dumplings a flop and the video too long and drawn out. You would have been better off just giving the link to the RU-vid video that you copied it from. Better luck next time. The beer was the best part:)

First grate the potatoes and an onion very finely, your grater was much too big. Then don't use a sieve, but squeeze vigorously several times with your hand and be sure to catch the juice! Then mix the mixture in a bowl with a spoonful of wheat flour and an egg. Season with a little salt, nutmeg and ground black pepper as desired. Then carefully pour off the potato water and add the potato starch collected at the bottom into the dough, which gives it the necessary binding. Only fry in oil and not in butter. Bake both sides for about 5 minutes over medium heat, turning only once. They are served with applesauce. Warm greetings from Germany.

Yes it has a/c and the open window is because its misting rain and he can see better. We never worry about silica, i also drilled awhile thats wher silica got me .white lung . Im 52, srill going by the Lord's grace and kindness

geee, I never would have guessed road work creates dust... You would complain if the road was bad and complain when they create dust...its funny, before concrete I worked for land development.. the same people who would bitch and moan about needing their home done quicker, were the same ones who bitched about the dust when we worked to get houses done..
I was a customer back in the 1970s and visited rarely when in Berwyn in the last decades, it's been shrinking but still had the Houska bread, kolaches and horns, the marble pound cake, etc. from my childhood. Neighborhood has changed but it was a great bakery.
