I got 273kmh on my Mille R 2003 with possibly still some speed in it and my normal Mille from 2001 I got up to 265 while pushing it for a long time on the autobahn. There was nothing more in it than 265 on the speedo
I have a Mille 2003 gen 1. It's not about top speed. It's about the sound track from the exhaust, the torque and drive out of sweeping bends. It really is a special ride. Mine has an Akroprovic chip, K&N filter and SBK racing silencer. My 2003 face lift has different gear ratios to the 2001-2002 models.
I forget to tell, i have the 16 pinion from italy, not the original 17! The bike in stock is running round about 280. But the measurement with gps is better maybe there is a high tolerance...
I'm a little disappointed. Just got a 01 mille, havent topped out yet. I thought the top speed was 180 or so. When I was younger my Honda 600rr topped at 155. Anxious to get it registered... empty roads right now...?
Update. Got a 266 km/h last year in october😀. I badly want a power commander to see how much I can squeeze out of her. I already have the sport filter and a custom race exhaust.
Final ratio is probably genuine (17x42). Genuine ratio on "R" is 16x42. But perfect ratio for standard engine ("R"or not) is 16x44 for general purpose use. I use a shorter final ratio (15x43) on my "R" but i never ride on motorway. Try 16x44 ratio and meet the real RSV mille... ;-) .
If You're RSV is fitted with 17x42 (genuine std. version), You must certainly use 16x42 ratio (genuine "R" version). But you should perhap's later use 16x43 or 16x44 to obtain the maximum velocity. You must to try to be sure. Probably the cheapest "tuning" to obtain a maximum result... ;-) You can buy quality sprocket on Ebay (Made by "JT" company for exemple). About 20 U$D for front sprocket ans about 40U$D for rear sprocket. Use only "525" tighness (6mm). "520" thighness (5mm) is only for track use. Use only steel sprocket: aluminium sprocket is for track use too. Chain lenght do not be changed when you stay between -1 or +1 theeth: you can adjust it with genuine chain tensioner. Be carefull: in some countries (or in some insurance company contracts), final ration changing is forbidden. FYI, odometer sensor is near the rear brake disc: odometer value on you dashboard stay unchanged and stay absolutely acurate without any modification.
wow I thought it would be faster.. My Suzuki bandit 1250 from 2008 (naked bike) almost does this speed (about 250)... I wanted to buy this bike as a second bike, but now I'm not so sure. Good riding though.
For top speed the new bikes give you more. This is a torque bike, similar to 750cc on the time of superbike Championship was 750cc. Tuned you can get 280 top speed. This is a 16 year old bike with 128 horsepower
@@ArgoPower Rsv Mille speed indicator is one of the most precise out there ! Unlike the ones on Hondas which say you're speed is 299 when in reality is 285. Hmm...
@@AjackLee4 matbe it is but it will still be way out at the top end.when any bike or car is tested in perfect conditions by a proffesional rider/driver on a test circuit dont kid yourself you are going to get better results than them without a fair bit of work on the machine so what the factory quote will be the best you will ever see.
Why don't you make a video ? As I can't find any RSV Mille faster then 272 km/h. I did 266 with mine last year and she wouldn't get more. I held her full throtle at 266 km/h for many kms. Now I got the power commander. Can't wait to mount it and make a dyno run and then a test run !
Awesome video man ! Great sound and nice riding ! Just keeping that gas to the fullest - Awesoome ! I did a test a week ago on the highway but she didn't want to go faster than 260 kph. It was great anyway, that is pretty fast. Love the Mille for ever !!! ;)
I do not know what your massive body, but try to hide under a front screen (if you have fitted 2 bubble) that helmets bottom come into contact a fuel tank. Wind over 250, similar like a soft bread, the better to hide you will gate another 10 km to go faster, good luck.
Thanks! Lol. Also Thanks for making a great camera! I use 2 in my bike and im trying to get 2 more for more view angles! You could support-me sponsoring with some more cameras!! What do you think? Also 4K is great but in this video i used 1080p 30fps because i only have 8GB cards in the cameras. Next videos will be in 4K!
