Thank you for posting this classic album. This band could do it all....garage, psychedelia, power pop, 60's bubblegum. Their self titled album from 2003 was one of the best from that decade. An incredibly underrated band.
Such a lovely album. A bit sad that the band disappeared out of nowhere? Or does anyone know something about their "status"? I just saw one day that they deleted all their stuff from bandcamp
Julie Profumo lyrics I'm going to England I'm leaving today I'm going electrically There's no time to stay 'Cause this ain't the sixties And there's nothing to lose And Julie Profumo Is singing the blues Someday soon I will forget this junkyard Take you with me if you're going that way It's a changing world and I can tell you one thing Time is racing Shadows waiting Love will slip away Oh mother of violence I am your son And though I remember sunshine The damage is done The images is haunt me always Like a cry from the streets And Julie Profumo Is dead on her feet Someday soon I will forget this junkyard Take you with me if you're going that way It's a changing world and I can tell you one thing Time is racing Shadows waiting Love will slip away And someday soon I will forget this junkyard Take you with me if you're going that way It's a changing world and I can tell you one thing Time is racing Shadows waiting Love will slip away
Canale già bloccato in quanto ripetitivo e invasivo, ma che continua a ripresentarsi, peraltro col medesimo video. Ovviamente, non seguirò niente, dato quanto è infestante.
From musicians' perspective, wtf. On tracks like Les Os, you can hear how hard Alden is playing the guitar cuz certain strings on the guitar go out of tune with itself. Same with The Clap. But on Sea Ghost, it's so restrained. At the same time, the three piece aspect is so prevalent, and yet it's so full. What a great record.
I’ve stuck with this guy for 20 years now, and the latest Islands record is basically just straight pop, but there’s something in the voice and phrasing that remains.
