Dipende dal repertorio, ogni cembalista ha un dono speciale appunto. Per Bach (forse eccetto le suites inglesi) Leonhardt anche secondo me è insuperabile

If for anything for us, the 'after-comers': This is the definition of "Aging Gracefully" - Leonhardt did it with "höchster Selbstverständlichkeit" back then - still, very few can do this, nowadays.
Yes, this a very remarkable recording of Froberger, pleasantly freer than some other performances by Leonhardt, accentuating the composer's daringly imaginative harmonies, rapid changes of tempi, virtuosity, and piercingly affective moods. Froberger's unabashed subjectivity is really ahead of many of his Baroque contemporaries, anticipating the Romanticism to come many decades later!

Interprétation épurée,sobre perfection en tout: phrasé-respiration, toucher-dosage des intensités, équilibre des accords..... À rebours d'une attente si répandue dans le public, Serkin semble affirmer ceci: dès lors qu'émotion et poésie sont DANS la musique, l'irruption de celles de l'interprète a quelque-chose d'intempestif.Affirmation qui traduit le plus grand respect du compositeur.

Потрясающее исполнение! Прослушал ещё ХТК в его же исполнении. Некоторые говорят, что Бах писал для инструмента будущего, т.е. для фортепиано, и на клавесине его музыка не такая живая. Я с этим категорически не согласен, так как в том то и дело, что только на таком "тяжёлом", по сравнению с фортепиано, клавишно-щипковом инструменте, и виден настоящий полёт души Баха! На фортепиано он звучит обычно, даже скучно, и только на клавесине слышится его революция, ознаменовавшая переход к новому инструменту
