Awesome video. The bike you got I believe is the Storm Bee which is the full size dirtbike. The Ultra Bee is a little bit smaller. Good luck with it and be safe it’s a beast!
Two rides .. one with lots and lots of loose shale rocks. So far, so good! My guess is that the zip ties will eventually break from impact, but that means they protected the motor somewhat. We'll keep an eye on it! Thanks for the reminder to check.
Congratulations!! I bought mine through Alibaba as well and got the street version. I made quite a few videos on the ultra bee that you might find useful. In terms of getting it registered I couldn't do it at the Florida DOT. I had to go through dirt legal. The biggest change I made was the 18/21 wheel set for dirt riding. I kept the 19s and put street tires on them.
Okay, the tires aren't DOT Rated, a good and inexpensive replacement would be Shinko 441's (they're all terrain tires so you can use them on the street as well as on the trail and I think they cost less than $50 a piece) also... if you're afraid that it would be too much for you, set the bike in ECO or Daily mode to start out until you get used to it
Thank you! I need knobby ties for off-roading, I'll need to look around. But putting Shinko 441 on might help me get the tag! I went woods riding yesterday. What a blast .. kept it on Daily for the most part.

Not sure why you won't list the price paid to your door. Saved $1k ? Off of what ? List here in the states ? $6499. + tax, freight etc.. So you paid $5499. delivered ? I'd pay the extra grand not to wait 3 mo. I see prices all over the board on Ali. Good info on listing the process but you leave out the most important part.
Yeah, I changed from this configuration due to this very fact and have a lightweight trailer. One bike is somewhat doable, but two bikes is a challenge and does, as you say, make the rack sag! While the concept is reasonable, it is 100% reliant on the somewhat small carrier post. In my case, I agree, the small post makes this a bit untenable .. especially for two bikes. (This after using it a number of times!) I need to update this video!
Took mine apart and it puked out all the light weight oil... I'm thinking that's not a good thing... probably why the shocks stopped working in the first place (and why I took them apart) and I don't have the tools to deal with this unpleasant development !? makes me wonder? where's Mrs Fix-it Bikini girl that came with the packaging.
Absolutely! Funny you note. I am on "Sur Ron Fender Reconfigure verson 10.0!" It is mounted to a plastic number plate we 3D printed and that didn't cut it. In the video it is zip-tied together. Next version will have a beefier number plate to mount to, heavier rubber or aluminum.
Glad you are giving it a shot! That allen screw goes into the rod that is inside. I think what is happening is the rod is turning with the screw. I might suggest being sure it is loosened and you can see it will press in and out with the inner rod -- tap it or hit it sharply so get the threads on the inside rod to unmarry with the bolt. I think I had to do this the first time I took them apart!
I hesitate to tell you yes. Will it be okay if it's not wet or slippery? Yes. Do you need to realize at all times what the conditions of the road are and ensure you maintain good speed and traction at all times? Yes. Should you lay the bike down around a corner, going as fast as you can? No. Are these street legal tires? I have no idea. Enjoy!
Thanks, RST are pretty good forks compared to DNM I had on another sur-ron. The DNM forks twist easily since they are inverted and have no brace. This also reminds me of when my dad and I would work on things only without the screaming and cursing.
I believe 2m is 6' feet 7" My brother is about 6'2" and it's a "bit" small, but he loves riding his sur ron with the riser mods, anyway! He has to bend a hair forward to reach the handlebars when riding standing up. I am 5"11" and this set-up works for me (I can stand, but not have to bent over to the bars.) I can't answer you directly .. but these are fun and very capable woods bikes! I hope this helps a bit.
Sorry guys, not much battery life info in the video, but in the text above, "All in all, I think about 22-25 miles of up/down spirited woods riding is a reasonable estimate of how far one can go on a stock battery, avg rider weight, 190 lbs." Mostly at 20 miles out or so you need a stop and a plan!
