He is actually the reason why I selected to hear this "state of the art " Music. Jazz, Instrumental. My choice. No need something else. He¨s the rythm, he´s the composition and the feeling to keep on listening all life long this what they call JAZZ. Wether it is motion picture soundtracks, or smooth jazz, He is the One. I see there have been many inquiries about the vailability of this film. Please add me to this long list. I have been a huge Dave (and Don) Grusin fan for nearly 5 decades. I would love to obtain this film in any way I can - stream it or (better yet) puchase it on DVD. Yes, I'm old enough to still want to own the content. I suspect Mr. Grusin has many other fans like me who feel the same. PLEASE make this available to us. And thank you for providing me and my family so much joy through your music.
I still remember, when i found that Dave Grusin's "Collection" album. Then started a long journey, wich saved my teenage years, cause then i've got a music to listen and study. Dave Grusin, Chick Corea Electric band, Lee Ritenour and other's GRP artist's. Many of those album's literally blow my mind then and still today are a high influence of my playing.

I began listening to Grusin with the: "She could be mine" cut from the "Out of the Shadows" album L.P. by that time 1981. And from that very moment I kept listening to many musicians like:; George Benson "Breezin", Ahmad Jamal "Deja vu ", Clare Fischer "Latin Jazz" Morning. Lee Ritenour "Rio. " I could be here writing all day long. The thing is that we´re very proud of this wonderful music, I¨m a Mexican Citizen. Yes. I respect Jazz and Dave Grusin Creation. God bless all of them. That GRP label was my introduction to Dave Grusin, and there were some wonderful albums made, too many to name. I never knew he did all these other things… WOW! And what a pianist… isn’t that him playing piano on Funkin for Jamaica? lol this man has SOUL!

It's amazing to see the breadth of Dave Grusin's achievements and inspiring to see how sharp he remains both musically and mentally. I'm a guitarist and became interested in Lee Ritenour perhaps a year ago. That's how I found out about Dave. If you're a Ritenour fan, you're also a Grusin fan, right? But it's funny to discover that I already knew a lot of Dave Grusin's music through his film scores, even if I didn't know his name until recently. There are few musicians who so thoroughly impress as he does. Just an absolute master musician!
